JOY (A Great Virtue)
Hello my dearly beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank God that you are living in grace and victory of our Lord. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Joy (a great virtue)’. The power of God triumph in an atmosphere that is full of joy. The power of God is limited where there is sorrow, unhappiness and gloom. Many people do not know the role that joy plays in obtaining victory from God. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” The first thing that is required of us believers is to carry a joyful countenance. The devil knows that he cannot succeed in our lives when we are joyful, hence he tries to make us unhappy and sorrowful by bringing to our door steps all manner of trials and temptations.
