FOOD FOR TEENS: THE PARABLE OF THE SEED
Matthew 13:31-32 says, “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.” Before we delve into our topic proper I would like to first and foremost establish a baseline for these parables and several other statements in the Bible so that we can get proper insight to what they truly represent. One of the figure of speech in English Language is simile; it is the comparison between two unlike things using "like" or "as", "She was acting LIKE a pig." Based on this example it is easy to understand that she was acting in a dirty manner.
