WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION
Hello my dear
teens, I believe you are walking in the will and purpose of God for you. I like
to counsel you as obedient children of God to please work out your own
salvation in Christ Jesus.
I once heard a
complaint from a Christian who claimed to be sick, saying that she had on a
daily basis asked the Lord to heal her but yet He has refused. She went on
asking if perhaps she has done something that made God not to heal her, saying,
“could it be that there is sin in my life that prevents God from healing me”, I
believe so many of God's children may be having similar challenges and asking
for a way out. It is true that sin can prevent believer from receiving his or
her healing because scripture says in Psalm. 66:18, thus, “if I regard iniquity
in my heart the Lord will not hear me.” But
remember that as a Christian you have the Holy Ghost in you and because you do,
if you sin He convict you so that you can repent from such act. Hence the Bible
says in James 4:5, “Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit
that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? That is to say, the spirit of God in us
will not be comfortable seeing us walk in a way that is anti-Christian. He
certainly will draw our attention to it.
1st John
3:19-21, “And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our
hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart,
and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemns us not, then have we confidence toward God.” Based on
the scriptures above, if a believer sin, he/she will realize it because he/she
will feel condemned and that will affect his/her confidence in God. But if not,
there is no need to begin to think that your sin may have gotten in the way of
your healing. Because if sin is the reason you are not receiving answers to
your prayers, you will not wonder if it is sin, you will know it is, because
the spirit of God will bear witness with your spirit that it is. If this is not
the case then forget it, sin is not the problem.
What then is the
reason am not receiving healing or answers to my prayer?. The answer is
ignorance and lack of knowledge. One thing you must realize is that you don't
have to ask God to heal you because He has already healed you. More than two
thousand years ago in Christ Jesus when the Roman soldiers layed forty rugged
stripes on Him, He healed you, He took your infirmities, your diseases,
sicknesses on Him; Each of that stripes represents your sickness and diseases.
Hence 1st Peter 2:24 says “Who his own self bare our sins in his own
body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness;
by whose stripes ye were healed”
The phrase,
'were healed' signifies an event that has already taken place. It is a past
event. You are already healed. You are not going to be healed, neither are you
waiting to be healed, you are already healed. Healing is yours now. But you may
be feeling pains all over your body together with the symptoms but that does
not negate the word of God. It doesn't stop the word of God from being true.
But for the pains and the symptoms to go you must enforce your healing. How do
you do that? You must begin to give thanks to God for the gift of healing. He
has given you. You must tell him you believe you receive your healing and thank
Him from the depth of your heart.
When you receive a gift, what do
you do with it? Certainly you use it. You have to go ahead and use what God has
given you. You must begin to act as though you are healed because you are. You
must take steps of healing until every symptoms clears off. Don't consider or
think the sickness but the healing. While you take your steps of faith, thank
Him until you become very strong.
You cannot but receive your
healing if you take the above steps. May the Lord bless and increase you.
