THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL PART 2

In Romans 1:17 scripture says, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” This righteousness is not talking about being free from sin, this righteousness been talked about contains every blessing of God and they are hid in the gospel. These blessings are revealed from faith to faith. By your reception of the gospel and you been born again puts you on the pedestal of success but you must move from one level of success to another as you hear and believe. It is from faith to faith, from one level of manifestation to another. So He says to us in 2nd Corinthians 3:18, (“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”) that It is from one realm of glory to another. You might say nothing is happening in my life; something has happened in your life in Christ, move from that level of salvation to the level of health, move from that level of health to the level of financial prosperity, and keep moving from one level of glory to another. Where is the glory hidden? The glory is hidden in the word of the gospel.
Once you receive the gospel and you become born again, you have been cut off from the lineage of poverty, sickness and disease, now you have entered into the first level of glory but you must move from there to a higher level.
What is glory? Glory means beauty; it means abundant blessing of God that you could see with your eyes – Genesis 31:1. So, the bible is saying you are moving from one level of abundant blessing to another if you believe and act on the gospel. Another definition of Glory is in John 7:39, (“But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.”) Which means to move from a realm of lesser power to a higher power. The gospel will take you from the realm of lesser influence to a higher influence as you believe. People are not transformed in Church because they never believe; they begin to analyze things with their minds. Once you move into your head, you move into the realm of the soul and God is not a soul, so you will never receive the blessing of the gospel.
Romans 8:28-30 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” It will interest you to know that you have been predestinated and everything you need to be in life has been prearranged by God before you were born. You have been predestined to fulfill a purpose according to the will of God in the gospel. You purpose in not acquiring houses and cars or giving birth to children, they are rewards here on earth but your purpose is in the gospel, how many souls you won for Christ, how many lives you’ve touched. How you achieve it is in your predestination. God has predestinated you, so that you will become like Jesus (i.e. to conform to the image of His Son). And in verse 30 He says you have been called, if you have been called, you have been justified which means you have been declared righteous and if you have been justified, you have been glorified; which mean you are in the higher life.
God is saying to you now, that you are in the higher life through the gospel – Ephesians 2:6, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” But for the fact that you are in the higher life, doesn’t mean that automatically the higher life is going to work for you and through you. It does not mean you will succeed yet. What will make it work? 2nd Peter 1:3-4, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” And we know from the book of Romans 1:16 that the gospel is the power of God, so “according to the gospel hath given unto us all things” because the gospel is God’s divine power. It is through the gospel you partake of the life of glory; as you believe the gospel and act, glory takes over your life. It is the gospel that makes you escape the corruption that is in the world, as you begin to give yourself to the gospel, the works of the flesh begins to fall away from your life.
God bless you , see you next month.
