HEAR AND BE HEALED

Hello my dearly beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank God that you are living in grace and victory of our Lord. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Hear and be healed.”

I will like you to know and have this consciousness that there is nothing impossible with God. Can God do everything? The answer is yes, but He will not do everything because God will only do what you believe. God will not do everything because He works by rules and laws, He works based on your believing; which means He can only do those things which you believe. So in the book of Ephesians 3:20 He says, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” God doesn’t act or do things based on the power that works in Him. He does things in your life based on the power that works in you. If there is no power in you, you’ll get nothing from God. What power is He talking about? It is the power of Faith. Which means no faith, no result. The Bibles says in the book of Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” There is nothing too hard for God; He can do anything but He will not do anything until you believe for something.

The book of Mark 6:5-6 tells us that Jesus went to His home town of Nazareth, “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.” Jesus could not do mighty works in Nazareth but one would think Jesus could heal whosoever He wanted to heal and do whatsoever He wanted to do in the life of anybody. The Bible says He tried to heal them but He couldn’t, why? Because of their unbelief. There are several persons who desire a thing or two from God but they are wondering why it is not happening. It is because of their unbelief. Jesus said unto Martha in the book of John 11:39-41 after the death of Lazarus thus, “Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid....” If Martha had not believed to remove the stone of unbelief, she would never have seen the glory of God. Many people are not seeing the glory of God because the stone of unbelief is blocking the miracle from happening.

For many of us believers we have the notion of God will do it when He will do it, that is a lie. You’ll wait forever and nothing will happen. God doesn’t do anything because He wants to do it, somebody has to make Him do it. If you don’t make God do something for you, you will get nothing. The Bible told us of a man whose son was suffering from epileptic seizures in the book of Mark and he was brought to Jesus in Mark 9:22-23, “And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Jesus made him understand that all things are possible to him who believes, if you don’t believe, you get nothing. No matter who you are or your position in Christendom, the operation of God must be followed before He can do something for you. Everybody that must receive from God must work by faith. You have to take what you want by the principle of faith. The principle of faith always work, it doesn’t fail. The principle of faith always work but where most people miss it is that they expect it to work immediately without doing anything. The principle of faith may not work immediately but it must work if you hold on to it.

Mark 5:15 says, “But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.” Another challenge is that many people don’t want to hear to be healed, they think that the man of God has the anointing in prayer to heal them. So, when they are prayed for and nothing happens immediately, they say the man of God is not anointed and they begin to look for other alternatives. Nobody has the ability to heal anybody, we only do what the word of God says and the anointing flows because the Holy Spirit confirms the word with signs following. You must first hear and believe before you can be healed. It is your faith on the word that is ministered that brings healing. Luke 6:17, “And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases.” Some people come to be healed but they don’t want to hear; they come to be blessed but they don't want to hear, that is where they miss it. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” - (Romans 10:17). It is your response to the word you hear that produces the miracle. Psalms 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” When they believed His word the healing took place. “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” – Matthew 13:13-15. If you cannot catch the word in the hearing and in the seeing, you won’t understand and God cannot do anything; when it comes to hearing the word you have to be focused. You alone determine the time of your miracle, the moment you hear and believe, the miracle starts taking place. God can do nothing if you don’t hear and believe. Once you hear the word and believe and release your faith, He starts working in your life. Where many of God’s children make mistake is that they want it now, there are healings that take place immediately but not all the time. Most of the healings and blessings are gradual, “...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”- Mark 16:18. Recovery is a gradual process but if you continue to believe in that word and to do as the word says, you will receive your healing. Nothing can kill a christian that works by the word of God, it doesn’t matter the diagnosis. Carnality is what kills a Christian, not faith in the word.

Hebrews 10:36 says, “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” After you have done the will of God with patience, then the promise will show up. What is the will of God? It is the word of God. Your problem is not faith, because every Christian has faith and it is the same level of faith (Romans 12:3). That faith will never change your life until you release it. The same way a man can be rich financially and still wear tatered clothes, why? Because he did not exchange his money for some good clothes. Before you can be well, you have to release your faith in exchange for the healing you desire. Acts 14:7-10 says, “And there they preached the gospel. And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.” Apostle Paul perceived that the man had faith to be healed but a dormant or inherent faith cannot produce result, it is the faith you release that God works with it. What brought about the healing for the man? He had faith and when he heard the word, he released his inherent faith by acting on the word, he stood up. If he had not stood up, even though he had faith, nothing would have happened. Until you do what the word of God says, you will never receive your miracle.

The first thing is to hear the gospel, the second is to believe the gospel and the third is to act based on what the gospel says, then you will see the miracles. Any faith that you don’t act upon is not faith and it will yield nothing. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” You will never see the power of the gospel, until you believe and act on it.

Now, you might ask, how do I act in faith to receive my healing or blessing? Search for scriptures with specific instructions or promises concerning your situation. You write the down, that is God’s word for you. For those seeking financial blessings, there are specific instructions concerning tithing and giving. After you have done the will of God in tithing and giving, you begin to thank Him. For those seeking blessings that are not tangible such as healing. You meditate on the promises of God concerning your healing and health and let it sink into your spirit, then you begin to declare what you want happen in your life in accordance with the promises of God concerning you. As you continue to thank Him with patience and without doubting in your heart, your miracle will show up
