WORK THE WORD part one

Hello my dearly beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank God that you are living in the grace and victory of our Lord.

The reason many Christians are not living the victorious life is because they are carnal; they love worldly things, entertainment, jokes, fun and fun fair. We once loved those things when we were unbelievers but when you become a Christian you must let those things roll away if you want to make head way in your life.

I have discovered that the greatest battle and fight in the life of a Christian is between the spirit and the flesh. Trying to let go of the worldliness of the flesh while you are still embracing the lust that is in the flesh making it impossible to let go. A lot of us believers have not made up our minds to let go of the worldly pleasures and sincerely dedicate our hearts and spirit to the things of the Spirit of God that will build our inner man and reveal the Christ that we carry.

Christ is not in your flesh, He dwells in your heart (i.e. your spirit). Until Christ becomes real to you in your spirit, the life of struggle will be inevitable. Sometimes, many Christians think that attaining spiritual maturity will suddenly come upon them one day, it does not work that way. Whatsoever you need, you must go for it with everything in you, Matthew 11:12, "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Until you decide what you want to become, it doesn't fall on you. You make a major break by going for it with everything in you. The Bible says in proverbs 18:1, "Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom." The decision is yours whether to become the man you see and dream of inside of you or whether you remain the same person that you are in the flesh.

The reason people come into this world and begin to pursue the things of the world is because everything around you is in entanglement with your flesh, "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." Psalm 51:5. No effort is needed to become worldly, it is part of the nature of man. Worldliness is all around you because the outer man is outside and the inner man is inside. The outer man is the man you see and relate with every day which is your flesh. The flesh is always in connection with worldly things. But the inner man which is the real man which carries the power is hidden. Just like gold inside the Earth which has to be mined before you can get to it. Until you make a deliberate effort to tap into the hidden treasure on the inside of you, nothing changes.

The Bible says in II Corinthians 4:7 that, "...we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." The treasure is on the inside, not on the outside. "...out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." John 7:38. Until you tap into that place where the grace is, you may never see it. It is not gotten through wishes, neither is it a gift, it is a working. You have to work it out. That is why the Bible says in Philippians 2:12, "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." For those who intend to work it out they swim in grace.
