IT' NOT WORTH IT : DONT ALLOW YOUR SITUATION MOULD YOUR WORD

Dearly beloved, I welcome you all to this month of February. It shall be for you your best month yet in the name of Jesus Christ. This month, I will be sharing with you on what I titled, ‘Don’t allow your situation mould your words.’

God never promised us a life without trials and temptations, but He told us what we should do to come out of them. So many Christians today have not only faced their goliath(situation) but they have also allowed their situations mould the words from their mouth. We must learn not just to read stories in the Bible but also learn lesson from them. David was a victor over goliath because he never allowed goliath intimidating words change his words, God and his confidence towards God. Do you know that your words are expressions of your faith or fear? Positive and scriptural words are your confidence in God, while negative words is your confidence in the devil. Unknowing to you that is the simple truth. Remember, nothing pleases God, but faith and your faith is expressed through your words.

The Bible says in Numbers 14:28, “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.” If you want to know where you are going to be five years from now, listen to your words. Whether you know it or not, each time you open your mouth, you are prophesying your future. If you want to be stronger, healthier and happier, then start declaring it today. Don’t let your mouth stop your blessing or victory. Negative words hinder God’s promises from coming to fruition in your life. it is wrong to limit God with negative confessions from your lips. God responds to you according to what you speak into His ears (Numbers 14:28. God had already promised the Israelites the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. God instructed them to go and possess it, but they said, “...we are not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.” (Numbers 13:31). They forgot that it wasn’t about them, God had already told them what he would do, but what they could do with God. They allowed the situation looking them at the face which had no root affect their words except for that of Joshua and Caleb who said, “Let us go up at once and possess the land.” (Numbers 13:30). As a result of their words, those that brought evil reports were destroyed. Notice in Psalm 78:41 says, “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy one of Israel.” How do you think they limited the Holy one of Israel? With their words.

The Bible says there was a great famine in the land in the land and the king of the land went to see the man of God to get a word from the Lord. In 2nd Kings 7:1-2, Elisha the man of God said, “Hear ye the word of the LORD, Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.” Now watch the response of the king’s helper. “Then a Lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.” Notice that man’s words cut him off from something he had a right to.”

Don’t allow your situation mould your words and cut you out from God’s blessings. Do not confess that negative thoughts in your mind, rather speak life to every situation around you (Proverbs 30:32). Speak good to your spouse, children, home, job, business and finances and you will see the fruits germinating in Jesus name.

See you next month. God bless you.
