THE YEAR OF THE OPEN DOOR

   Dearly beloved, welcome to 2017, "The year of the open door." As the Holy Spirit has told us that this year is the year of open door, it is important that we believe it, take it to heart and run with it. It is not enough to just hear it as a sermon and forget it, but we must see it as God's Word for us personally and individually. Remember. When God speaks to one He speaks to all and vise versa. See this declaration of the Spirit of God as God talking to you and believe it with all your heart. When you do, and then expect an open door in all aspects of your life this year. God walks with expectation. Proverbs 23:18 says, that your expectation shall not be cut off. What you expect in your life is what He will do for you. Expect an open door of great and supernatural blessing this 2017.

   What does the Spirit of God mean when He talks about "The open door?" It means a supernatural opening or opportunity to another level or greater height. When God opens a door for somebody, that means all the time of struggle for that person in that area is all over. Things will begin to happen effortlessly. Whatever used to resist him before will begin to yield and walk for his good. For the person, it will look like a dream come true. (Psalms 126:1).

There are several doors that God can open unto us His children. Some of them are revealed to us in the scriptures.

THE DOOR OF FAITH. Acts 14:27. 

"And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles." What is "The door of faith?" It is a supernatural ability granted by God to make you believe and receive your desire. No man can receive anything from God except by faith. Jesus said in Matthew 9:29, "...According to your faith be it unto you." When God opens the door of faith unto you things you thought could never happen for you begins to happen with little or no effort. Miracles, signs and wonders begin to take place because the grace to believe for great and mighty things has come. May that grace be your portion in this 2017 in Jesus name.

THE DOOR OF EFFECTUAL. 1st Corinthians 16:9.  

"For a great door and effectual is opened unto me ....." The word effectual means, the ability to produce the intended result. It is the ability to produce entirely adequate results. When God opens the door of effectual unto you, things begin to work adequately for you. You begin to achieve adequate result in your endeavours. Things will begin to function accurately in your job, business, marriage; finances etc. May God open the door of effectual unto you in Jesus name.

THE DOOR OF UTTERANCE. Colossians 4:3. 

"Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak...." The door of utterance is the ability to speak as God will have you speak. It is the ability to say the right words at the right time because your words are ordered by the Lord. Proverbs 15:23 says, "A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!" What you say will make you live a happy or sad life. But when God opens unto you the door of utterance your words becomes seasoned and brings God's goodness your way. Luke 21:15, "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries (enemies) shall not be able to gainsay nor resist." Also the door of utterance gives you power against all your enemies, it makes your words so powerful that whatever you say come to pass. That is what took place in Acts 13:6-11, when Elymas the sorcerer tried to prevent the Apostle Paul from preaching the gospel to the deputy governor in Paphos. The Lord granted Paul utterance and he cursed him with blindness and immediately he became blind. This year 2017, may the Lord open the door of utterance unto you in the name of Jesus. May God order your words and have you speak as His oracle in Jesus name.

HOW TO HAVE OPEN DOORS.   

   In Acts chapter 16, Paul and Silas were arrested and put in prison for preaching the gospel. "......at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God...." Acts 16:25. Prayer and praises is the power twin that brings open doors. Acts 16:26, "And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed." Consistent prayer and praise to God will create for you a perpetual open door in all aspects of life. It will make things that seem impossible to become possible for you. It will grant you all kinds of blessings even some you never thought possible. Philippians 4:6 says, "Be careful for nothing; but in everything (not in some things) by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving (praise) let your requests be made known unto God." In 2017 don't grumble don't murmur instead let praise and thanksgiving fill your mouth. Prayer and thanksgiving is the key, use it. All doors will always open when you use the right keys. Prayer and praise stimulates the joy of the Lord in you and remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength, Nehemiah 8:10. Let prayer and praise take the place of all your murmuring and grumbling.

   Also, you must open the door of your heart to Jesus if you want to enjoy open doors this year. Revelation 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." It is one thing to say that you have giving your life to Jesus but another for Him to take charge of your life. For example, you may buy a car in a person's name but if you refuse to hand the key of the car over to the person the person can never drive the car. Until you hand over the key of your heart to Jesus and allow him to be the 'driver' of your life the doors you want opened may be a mirage. As far as you are running your life by yourself you will fail. "For by strength shall no man prevail" 1st Samuel 2:9. "....For without me ye can do nothing." "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28. If you want to seize from all your worthless labour and toil you need to submit totally to Jesus. You need to have Him take over the leading and running of the affairs of your life from this moment henceforth.

   If you are ready pray this prayer with all your heart: "Lord Jesus, I submit my life unto you. I receive you as my Lord and Saviour. I ask that you take over the running of the affairs of my life. I pledge to follow the leading of your Word and Spirit. Thank you for accepting me." Look for a Bible believing church and begin to attend.

   This indeed is your year of open doors. Go and prosper in every aspects of your life in Jesus name. Happy new year to you.
