LIVING BY EVERY WORD OF GOD
Hello dearly beloved. I welcome you to the December edition of Divine Truth. I know you have been walking in the victory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I will like to share with you some salient truth in the word of God. Scripture says in Mathew 4:4, “But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Jesus said that man shall live by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth. Not some words but every word.
Many believers are living by some words of God instead of every word of God. The Bible has clearly revealed to us that God’s word is dividable as revealed in 2nd Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the word of truth.” It is possible for us to rightly or wrongly divide God’s word. We can either rightly separate the Word of God and be blessed or annex them together and be destroyed. God’s word must be rightly divided for it to produce the right results in us. For example 2nd Corinthians 9:8 says thus, “And God is able to make ALL GRACE abound towards you; that ye, always having ALL SUFFICIENCY IN ALL THINGS, may abound to every good work.”
God’s grace means God’s divine ability at work in a man’s life. But grace can’t work or produce result in man’s life until he is acquainted with the knowledge of the Word of God. Hence 2nd Peter 1:2 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” Which means the more knowledge of the Word of God you have the more results you encounter in your life. But there are different aspects of God’s grace propelled by different aspects of the Word of God. Hence 2nd Corinthians 9:8 says that God is able to make all grace abound towards you.
There are different aspects of God’s Word. For example, there is the word of healing which produces the healing grace or the grace of healing. There is the word of protection which produces the grace for protection. There is the word of financial prosperity which also produces the grace for financial prosperity. But for all grace to abound or operate in your life, you must live by every word of God responsible for the working of these various grace. Scripture said in Genesis 24:1, “…and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”
Is it possible for a man to be blessed in every things? The answer is yes. This is possible, if you engage every aspects of God’s Word in faith like Abraham did. 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be PERFECT, thoroughly FURNISHED unto ALL GOOD WORKS.” You can be well furnished or equipped in all aspects of your life to the extent that you will not be found wanting or deficient in any area if you will choose to live by every one of God’s Word.
How can someone get to this level? By cultivating a die-hard desire to know the Word and do them. A man’s desire separates him and causes him to pursue his course with all vigour. Proverbs 18:1, “Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.” If you really have a desire to see God’s grace at work in your life, you will seek it with everything you’ve got. Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Every great thing in scriptures are hidden, they are intentionally concealed by God but it is our honour as kings to search it until we get understanding.
Let me show you some secrets that will help you if you are willing.
Identify the area where you are deficient or lacking. It could be financial, health etc.
Look for a minister that has sound teaching in that area(s)
Go to the Christian book store and buy books by the minister addressing that aspects(s)
Get your Bible by your side alongside the book(s)
Get a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and read the book(s) alongside your Bible meditatively
Be ready to do whatever the word of God says in that book in agreement with the Bible
If you do this consistently that aspect of your life will be transformed by the power of God.
