Food For Teens: JESUS WE ARE

Have you ever examined yourself as believer or just find out from the scriptures the kind of life you are supposed to live here on earth? If you haven’t I will have to tell you that I have and I discovered from the scriptures that every believer is supposed to live a supernatural life. During the course of this article, I will be showing you how, what and why this life was given to us.

What life does a believer have?

Every man who is born of God, has the life of God in him. Just like a lion does not give birth to a goat, even so the life of God can be found in every man who is truly born again. Like I would tell anyone who would care to listen, the first Christian who ever walked on the surface of the earth is Jesus Christ. The same life He had when He came into this world is the exact same life that we receive when we get born again. So, since that is the life of Jesus on earth that should be our perfect example as believers on how to succeed.

So much was documented about the life of Jesus Christ that if we do not live our lives to the optimum as God requires of us, no one should be blamed but us. Nicodemus went to Jesus and said to Him in John 3:2, “The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi; we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.” If you notice something, you will see that Nicodemus didn’t ask Jesus any question but in verse 3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus knew that what Nicodemus wanted to know was how can one have the life that he had and do the things that He did, which was why He responded as He did in verse 3; You must be born again. My question now is, a lot of us are born again but we can’t seem to manifest the same life Jesus Christ lived on the earth.

Jesus Christ referring to His death, burial and resurrection said in John 12:24, “Verily, verily I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” In this scripture Jesus was talking about sowing His life through death on the cross, so that he could reap/harvest great number of souls unto Himself. Now my point is this, when you plant a seed in the ground, the crop you harvest has exactly the same quality, the same species, the same life as the one that was planted. This goes to show that we have exactly the same kind of life that Jesus had while He was on earth, the same life that he used to fulfill the law that was impossible to fulfill. The same life that He used to live above sin and disease and made the perfect sacrifice for mankind. This is exactly the life that we have in us, it is eternal. 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.”
As if having His life wasn’t enough, He gave us His name (Authority) His word and He gave us His spirit so that we can live the exact kind of life He lived on earth. As Christians we really don’t have any excuse for failure, because we are not genetically created to fail, we really do not have what it takes to fail (Colossians 1:27).

Why was this life given to us? For what purpose?

Ephesians 3:9-11, “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and manifold wisdom of God. According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” First and foremost, it is a spiritual law that stands forever which is; that every being must have the same life as his/her father, so by right of sonship we have been given this life but for what purpose?
Jesus Christ had the ultimate purpose of given us this, because He was the only one qualified to, So that we the (Church) should show forth, establish, declare, reveal the manifold wisdom of God by so doing, we will draw men back to Christ. Jesus couldn’t do everything while He was here on earth, but now through us His glory will be revealed in every sphere of life. 1st Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” The same way Jesus fulfilled His own purpose here on earth that is how we are supposed to fulfill ours by Him working in us and through us.

As a student, as a child, as a father, as a wife, as a doctor, as a lawyer, as a welder, as a mechanic, as a farmer, as a governor, as a president, as a pastor, as a cleaner, the life of God in us gives us the ability to succeed just like Jesus succeeded despite all the odds that stood against Him, and not just succeed but drew men back to God. You are the Jesus in your house, in your office, in your school, let that light shine through you that men may give glory to your father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16)

How Do I Live This Life of Jesus?

This life is in our spirit and not in our flesh, so to live this victorious life, we must live from inside out and not from outside in. In Luke 2:40, “And the child grew and waxed strong in Spirit, filled with wisdom and the grace of God was upon him.”

For you to ever be conscious and know the potency of the life you have in Christ Jesus you must:

1. Grow your spirit man; As a baby, you are never aware of who you really are until you grow, that is why a lot of Christians are not conscious of the life that they carry because they have remained babies but once you allow yourself to grow spiritually by prayers, meditation on God’s word regularly you will see who you really are.

2. Grow in wisdom: Always increase in the word of God which is able to make you wise. It is as we behold ourselves in the mirror of God’s word that we begin to see who we really are.

3. Be a doer of the word: It is the man that does what He sees in the word of God that will bear fruits to the glory of God.

Go in this consciousness and always be conscious of the fact that you are the Jesus the world can see. God bless you, see you next month.
