THESE FRUITS

Hello my beloved saints, I wish you a great and prosperous month of August. I believe the Word of God is producing fruits in you as it does in the life of all who put their focus on it.

Beloved, It is possible for your faith to be corrupted. It is possible for the devil to steal your faith. You must Fight to keep it; you can lose your faith if you don’t fight for it earnestly. Hold on strong to your faith with everything that is in you. The Christian life is by faith, if you lose your faith you lose everything. Make sure you are in the faith every day of your life believing in Jesus

There are many false prophets, false ministers who tells us either verbally or insinuatively that it doesn’t matter how we live our lives, as long as we have received Jesus. It is a lie of Satan, if you live your life carelessly or the way you feel like, you will end up living a wasted life. We don’t live carelessly as Christians. Contend for the faith, ensure that you watch the way you live, ensure that you watch what you do, ensure that you watch what you say; they must be in line with scriptures because you are not like the world, you are different from the people of the world. The Bible says in 1st John 4:4, “ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world,” you are not of this world, you are born of God. You are the offspring of the living God therefore, you must make sure that you are like your Father. We should look like our Father and follow His example.

Jude1:4, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” He is talking about fleshly promiscuity, living your life in such a manner that is full of the flesh; pleasing the flesh instead of pleasing the spirit. It doesn’t matter how flamboyant they dress, they are ungodly men. It doesn’t matter how eloquent they speak, becareful of the messages you listen to, be careful of what you put in your spirit and what you hear. There are people insinuating that it doesn’t matter, once you are a Christian you are a Christian, it’s a lie, and you lose your faith and salvation if you believe in them. If you cannot lose something, why will the Bible tell you to contend for it? You fight for something that there is a possibility that you could lose. The greatest deception is that you will think that you are still in faith. Children of God be careful how you live your life.

Jude 1:5-6, “I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” The phrase or sentence that says God is never angry with you is a lie from the devil. Scriptures tells us in Ephesians 4:30, “…grieve not the Holy Spirit of God…” which means God can be angry with a Christian. To grieve means to make somebody angry. God can be angry with a Christian who refuses to repent. Lucifer was not created to be Satan; he was created as a Cherub to worship the Lord. He was created as an angel of light but he left his estate which is light and found himself in darkness. And for that God reserved him in everlasting chains of darkness waiting for the judgment of that day. This is trying to tell you that your just God and Father also judges, so be careful. So, let us not begin to say God is merciful therefore nothing will happen. God is merciful but sin must be judged when the time is right. Remain in the light, don’t go into darkness, and don’t go into promiscuity. Many people are destroyed for one reason because they left their first estate. They left the place that they ought to be to the place that they ought not to be. Being in the wrong place at the right time is wrong.

Jude 1:7-19. You can do the right thing and God will not like it because of your motive. God looks at your motive why you did what you did. Wash yourself, clean up yourself, and sanctify yourself every day and every moment of your life. Ensure that you live a life free of condemnation. When you talk anyhow to a leader, you are bringing yourself down, you are destroying your own self. Be disciplined enough to keep your mouth shut if you don’t know what to say. The best thing you can do is to discuss with your leader instead of gossiping behind. The question is does He cleanse? Does He sanctify? Does He forgive? Yes, if you ask for it. Sadly, some don’t ask for it, they keep living like that. From such people separate yourself.

There are some things God condemns in Christianity

1. Those who go around preaching the wrong doctrine.

2. Immoral lifestyle of Christians. For example, fornication, lasciviousness, adultery.

3. Those who do not respect authority in the church.

4. Those who always feel that they are holier than the others.

5. Those who separate themselves and so many other vices.

He has condemned these things and said they are wrong and those who do these things will end up in hell.

How Can We Live Holy?

In verse 20 of Jude, the Bible tells us the first thing to do to avoid sin in our lives. So that we can live above sin and the flesh, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” The first thing a Christian should do consistently to make him live above sin and live a life that is worthy of God, a life that is free of rebellion and pride, is to always speak in tongues.

1. Always pray in tongues if you will live a holy life - Jude 20.

2. Keep yourself in the love of God. Always show love to people – Jude 1:21

3. Make a difference, have compassion. Be the one to encourage others to stand. Don’t’ be fast to judge – Jude 1:22-23. Hate sin with all passion but love sinners. Don’t love the sin but love sinners. Bring the people out of their sin but don’t let the sin take you out of Christ.

Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” The kingdom of God is not what you eat or drink; you must have the right standing with God. The right standing of God is not based on your performance but it’s based upon the performance of Christ. Have you received the righteousness of Christ in you? Are you born again? Do you depend on Jesus for your sanctification and holiness? The standard is not your standard; the standard is the standard of God and the standard is the standard of Christ which is the standard of righteousness. So, we take upon us His righteousness. So, we are righteous because He is righteous.

Once you take upon you the righteousness of God, what follows is peace and joy. Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” You know why people don’t succeed in life? The reason is condemnation. You know why people try with their strength to please God, so that God can commend and recommend them? It’s because of condemnation. Condemnation is as a result of sin, when somebody is not living right and feels he is living below the standard of God, he feels condemned. One of the ways you know that somebody is born again is the peace and joy of the Lord.

How do you know a tree? It doesn’t matter the kind of flower or leaf it has. It might be a tree with cashew leaf and its producing mango fruit, it is a mango tree because of its fruits. Luke 6:44, “For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.” Circumstances around the tree may change the leaves but can’t change the fruit.

Have you lost your fruits (your joy, peace)? You mustn’t, it’s part of your Christianity. Be joyful, always expressing the peace of God. It doesn’t matter the situation that comes, just know that it will work together for your good. No man can take that joy away, and as far as that joy remains that circumstance will be a thing of the past. THESE FRUITS must remain in your life. Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” If something happens to your joy and peace you have no patience anymore. This love, joy and peace will make you have patience for anything God has promised you. That is why the devil bashes you with all kinds of trials, so that your joy and peace will be eroded. When that is eroded every other foundation goes away. It has nothing to do with what happens to you, it has everything to do with the fruit that you bear. It is called the fruit of the recreated human spirit. It is not the fruit of the Holy Spirit; it is the fruit of your spirit. Find them out. And one of the ways you find them is speaking in other tongues. Let the peace of God rule and reign in your life all the time. These are the fruits that describe who you are as Christians, then we can say this tree is a good tree. Let these things be in you.

God bless you.
