HOW TO INCREASE YOUR FAITH part one

Hello my dearly beloved, welcome to the month of October. I pray the hand of God increase more and more upon your life. I will like to share with you on the message I titled ‘How to Increase your faith.’ 

There is often a misconception about faith, that faith is only used when there is a problem. Faith is not something you use only when you have challenges. Faith is a life style. In Hebrews 10:38, the bible says, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Just the way you breathe in air everyday that’s how much you need your faith every day. Everything you do in life must be by the living faith of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As long as you are on this earth, you must work and live by faith – 2nd Corinthians 5:7. 

Every man has been given the same measure of faith, God has dealt to everyone the same measure of faith according to the book of Romans 12:3. Every one of us started from the same level of faith but you have the responsibility to build it up and have it grow. Now, the question is how do I increase my faith? The apostles asked Jesus in the book of Luke 15:5-6 to increase their faith, Jesus answered them saying, “…If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.” The way you increase your faith is through speaking, speaking the word of God and the positive things that you want see happen in your life. 

In the book of Hebrews 4:14 the bible says, “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.” He is telling us that you can rely on the supremacy of the power of Jesus. He is telling us to see what Jesus has done and the sacrifice He has performed for us to be victorious, to hold fast our profession (confession). Until you say it, it will never happen, don’t let it go, say it over and over again until you see it happen. Your life is directed by your faith and your faith is activated by declaring before acting. 

Your words control your life but it has to be in your heart before it can work from your mouth. Saying it alone is not enough, you’ve got to believe it with your heart according to Romans 10:10, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Anybody can speak but only those who believe with their hearts will make it happen. 

The more you speak, the more the reality of salvation in you. Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)” When there is no confession, there is no faith. Don’t confess your doubt, keep your mouth shut if you doubt. Confess your faith, and your faith will increase and your believing will be strengthened. Once you begin to confess it, your faith is emboldened. Mark 11:23, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Keep saying it and it will happen like you have said. You may doubt in your mind but don’t doubt in your spirit.

What God has in store for us far exceeds what we can achieve on our own, it goes beyond our wildest imagination, those desires in us to achieve great things are product of the great things God has placed inside us but because we have not sort Him, we try to achieve these things based on what we see in the natural. Hello my beloved saints, I welcome you to the month of December in the name of Jesus. May the Lord who has brought you this far take you farther and cause you to see and experience His glory in this new month in Jesus name.
