THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD part one

A lot of believers have a misconception about God, a very wrong mentality about Him. Many Christians think that God is a harsh and vengeful person who does not tolerate any nonsense, a God of vengeance and judgment. We have not come to understand the Fatherhood of God Luke 11:2 says, “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, OUR FATHER…” not our master, not our ruler, not our president but OUR FATHER. Until you get to this revelation that God is your Father, your prayers will be hindered. You will not be able to get anything tangible from your prayers. One of the things you must come to understand is this, “GOD IS MY FATHER.”

Get to a point in your life where you know that your Father (God) is alive for you, living and active for you. One of the mentalities you need to have is that God is more than everybody put together.

In the life of Jesus on earth, you will discover that He never called God master. He called Him (God) my Father. He understood the fatherhood of God and He is trying to teach it to us, that your God is not a God of vengeance. The Bible says in John 8:35, “And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.” If you call yourself a servant, this means you are in the kingdom for a while and very soon you will be out. But if you understand that you are a child of God, it means that the kingdom belongs to you because it is your Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. The kingdom belongs to those who are sons, not servants.

God is your Father because you are born of God, 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” The same word that gave birth to Jesus is the same word that gave birth to you. John 16:27, “For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.” The love that God has for you is not higher than the one He has for Jesus. The same sonship that God has with Jesus is the same relationship He has with you. Don’t be timid or ashamed to call God your Father and boast of it.

Continue next edition. Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
