THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD PART TWO

Continue from December edition….
In the life of Jesus on earth, you will discover that He never called God master. He called Him (God) my Father. He understood the fatherhood of God and He is trying to teach it to us, that your God is not a God of vengeance. The Bible says in John 8:35, “And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.” If you call yourself a servant, this means you are in the kingdom for a while and very soon you will be out. But if you understand that you are a child of God, it means that the kingdom belongs to you because it is your Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. The kingdom belongs to those who are sons, not servants.
God is your Father because you are born of God, 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” The same word that gave birth to Jesus is the same word that gave birth to you. John 16:27, “For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.” The love that God has for you is not higher than the one He has for Jesus. The same sonship that God has with Jesus is the same relationship He has with you. Don’t be timid or ashamed to call God your Father and boast of it.
Romans 8:14-15 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” The DNA of God is in you (your spirit). In the book of John 3:3 & 5, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God… Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” The moment you accept Jesus as your Lord, the DNA of God enters into your spirit, then you and God become one. Then you can confidently say that God is my Father.
When you pray and call God your Father, the servant hood mentality is destroyed and He comes to you in the place where you are. John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” You were given birth to by God through His word. Once you relate with God as a Father, you gain access to some certain privileges. The first responsibility of God towards His children is to guarantee their protection. Psalms 105:14, “He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm.”  The first access to fatherhood is protection. The second is provision. If you spend a long time to pray for God to provide for you, you are not thinking like a son, you are thinking like a servant. It is not enough to say God is in your midst, you must realize it.
See you next month. God bless you richly
