FOOD FOR TEENS: Organs of Faith part one

As a young believer, I discovered very fast that faith was all you need to have access to God’s blessings on the earth. I wanted so much to have faith, I even wished it, I would close my eyes and just wish I could have faith, all there were as a result of lack of understanding of how faith works. This is why I would like to write to you on how to access your faith and the organs responsible for living by faith.
Before we look at these organs first and foremost, I would like you to note that there is no faith outside of God’s word and the word of God is Jesus Christ Himself. So therefore we can say that the organs of faith are those parts of a man with which he engages God’s word to get result.
1. The Spirit of Faith: The Spirit of man is the core of a man, the real man sometimes referred to as the heart of man, this is the most important part of man. Whatever state the spirit of man is his true state. This is why Hebrews 11:6 tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please God” because John 4:24, “God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”. Your spirit needs to be in faith if you must receive anything from God because God is a spirit and all He gives, He gives it in the spirit. Ephesians 1:3. No wonder Romans 10:10 tells us that it is with the heart (spirit) that man believes.
Every other organ of faith must work directly with the Spirit to become effective. Though our spirit like it implies is spiritual, we can access it through the word of God. John 6:63b, “The word that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” It is through the word of God that you begin to understand the true nature of your spirit. The spirit is the engine room of faith; it is where everything must first be achieved before it could ever be manifested in the physical. So, you must keep it diligently – Proverbs 4:23.
2. The Ears of Faith: We have said that the word is spiritual and it can only produce result when it gains entrance into your spirit. The ear is an input organ through which the word of God gains entrance into the spirit. Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
At this point it is very important to understand that there is an outer and an inner ear, it is the outer ear that converts audible sound to thoughts which the inner ear can process, while the outer ears must receive physical and audible sound to function, the inner ear can hear even when there are no audible sounds. The inner ear is the ear of the spirit, like we said about the spirit, all other organs must directly connect with it to become effective.
So therefore one way by which God’s word can get into our spirit is through the hearing of God’s word. Galatians 3:2 calls it “the hearing of faith.” The spirit of God’s word can be received into our heart by the hearing of faith. For you to ever walk by faith you must always consciously hear God’s word. The ear of the spirit also receives God’s mind concerning a particular situation known as ‘rhema’ from God, in that rhema is the solution to that problem.
