FOOD FOR TEENS: Organs of Faith part 2

Continued from last month’s edition…

3. The Eyes of Faith: Just like the ears, the eye is an input organ through which the word of God is digested into our Spirit called meditation. Just like the ears, we also have the physical or optical eyes and the eyes of the spirit. 2nd Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight).” In this passage it talked about two types of sight, the one which is optical has no role to play in walking in faith. In fact, it is counterproductive and contrary to faith but the inner eyes which is the eyes of the spirit in one of the most powerful organs of faith in that it takes the word of God, either written or spoken and creates a mental picture of that which God already produced in the spirit; James 1:25, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” The eyes of faith are so important that scripture tells us that if we keep looking at God’s word continually we will become doers. What you continually look at impart your spirit greatly and is manifested in the realms of the physical. God’s word comes into our spirit through our spiritual ears and eyes.

4. The Mouth of faith: The mouth is so important in our faith walk in that the mouth is the only organ of faith that brings to phyical that which has been deposited in the spirit. The true reflection of man’s spirit are the words that he speaks. No wonder Jesus Christ told us in Luke6:43-45, “For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil. For of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” The blessings of God ehich has been deposited in a man can be realeased into the natural atmosphere through declaration. The mouth can act and function as an input and output organ of faith. To continually hear and see God’s word, you must continually proclaim it until it enters your spirit.

Every word of God in your spirit must be released through declaration 2nd Corinthians 4:13, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, therefore have i spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” One of the strongest indicators of your faith is what you speak. It is the mouth of faith that calleth those things which be not as though they were.

In summary the ear and the eyes of the spirit are the medium of getting God’s word into our spirit where Christ dwells, it is in the spirit that God reveals His mind to us, 1st Corinthians 2:11-12, that with our spiritual ears and eyes, we are able to assimilate the word of God, then with our mouth we are able to proclaim God’s word. 1st Corinthians 2:13. When the heart is in faith, it does not waver, it is in constant peace because he knows that he has received and He is faithful. Hallelujah. These are the organs with which we walk by faith, train and exercise your senses and watch your life of faith increase from one level of glory to another.

May God bless you, see you next month.
