THE MIDAS TOUCH part two

WHY THIS BLESSING MUST OPERATE IN YOUR LIFE

In Galatians 3:7-9, the Bibles says, “Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham....” Not of works but of faith; what faith? It is the faith of Christ because you don’t rely on your works but on your faith on Jesus Christ, that makes you a partaker of the blessing. “...And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.” If you are working by faith the grace of Abraham is working in your life.

In Genesis 30:25 the bible says, “And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country. Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee.” This is Laban's business that has been rocking, here comes Jacob who took over the business and multiplication started, the blessing permeated the business. The business started increasing and Laban said in verse 27 and 28, “And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake. And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it ” This is the life of a Christian, a Christian is supposed to be a blessing in any organization that everybody will know that since you came something has been happening here. You carry that grace. In verse 30, Jacob said unto Laban, “For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?” Jacob brought the change because of the blessing, what I am emphasizing on is that you carry the same blessing. Nothing has the ability to collapse when you handle it, it must thrive.

If you are a Christian there is an anointing that makes prosperity possible in everything that you do, even in your business, anything you handle must succeed. In Genesis 39:1-6 the bible says, “And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelite’s, which had brought him down thither. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.” Joseph was a slave and had been sold to Potiphar by his brothers and in verse two scripture says and the Lord was with Him, this is what makes the difference. It doesn’t matter where you are but it is who you carry in you, if the Lord is with you, you will prosper anywhere even in the desert. Even as a slave Joseph was still prospering. After all that transpired between Joseph and Potiphar’s wife, he was imprisoned, even in prison, he prospered. In Verse 20-23, “And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.” Even the keys to the prison were in Joseph’s custody, if he wanted to run away he could have but he didn’t. This was God testing him to see if he deserved the blessing or not. Even in prison and tested, he remained faithful to God. So many Christian veer away when tested and they corrupt the grace and it won’t work anymore.

WHAT MAKES IT WORK

1. This blessing does not work until you acknowledge it – Philemon 1:6, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” You must be conscious of it. If you don’t acknowledge who you are and what you have in Christ Jesus, this blessing won’t work for you. You must believe that you are different from the people of the world. You must believe that what affects the people of the world can’t affect you. You must believe that God is with you and in you. You must believe that everything you do must prosper. Many Christians don’t acknowledge who they are, they still think like unbelievers and because they think like unbelievers, they talk like unbelievers. And because they talk like unbelievers, they act like unbelievers and because they act like unbelievers they are defeated like them.

2. You must consider your high priest Jesus Christ – Hebrews 3:1, “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus” You are not going to make it if your consideration is how to make it by yourself. You must consider the grace of God that you carry all the time. Always think and meditate Jesus and His promises concerning you.

3. You must not let go of this grace, give it all the attention due every time. Don’t turn your eyes away from Christ. If you begin to compromise, you will loose it. Hebrews 2:1-3, “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip...” Give attention to the word of God. Keep doing and practicing the word of God. It is possible for you to have grace and loose it, Jesus Christ said ‘your joy let no man take’ which means it is possible for somebody to steal it and that person is the devil. If you take your attention away from it, you will loose it. “...For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.” He is telling us that if the word of angels could produce results, the words of Christ can produce much more

The New Testament and every word spoken through the prophets were spoken by Jesus Christ. He is the word of God. He is saying if the words of angels have grace and everyone who disobeyed the words of angels were rewarded and dealt with accordingly, what do you think of the saving grace of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This great salvation that has been revealed to us, we must make use of it. Don’t abandon the grace of God that has been given you; make use of it in every aspect of your life. Salvation is an escape from every situation that troubles you, it is the door of escape from every trial and problem and it has been given to you but don’t let it slip. Give attention always to it, let it fill your mind and heart all the time. God bless you.
