REST

Hello beloved, you are welcome to the month of May. I thank the Lord for you; for the manifestation of His word and power in your life. May you abound more and more in His grace and revelation in the name of Jesus

Have you discovered that every person Jesus healed on the Sabbath never asked for it? They came just to worship God on the Sabbath day. He never told them to have faith, He never told them to believe, He just healed them. He used His sovereign will to heal them because they were already in faith but they were not aware of it. It was the culture of Jesus to always heal anybody with an infirmity on the Sabbath day. And the Lord spoke to me, He said, ‘If I healed people who were mere servants and not children of God, how much will I heal you, save you, transform you, and provide for you when you ask me because you are my children. If I healed them when they didn’t ask for it, I will heal you too when you ask me because you have a better relationship with me than they did.’ Matthew 7:7-11 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Jesus made me further understood from the book of Ephesians 5:29 & 30, that we are not just His Children but we are the bones of His bones and flesh of His flesh. How much will you take care of your bones and your flesh? Jesus cares about you. It doesn’t matter the error or mistake you may have made, Jesus loves you. Nobody tells you to take care of your flesh and bones; you do because you love it. That is to show how much He cares for you and even in this period of our history, He will take care of you.

He said to me, ‘When you enter into your Sabbath, you don’t ask me; I do what I need to do for you because you are at rest.” The reason Jesus never asked them to believe and have faith before they received their healing was because they were already at rest, no anxiety because the Sabbath is the day of rest and they came doing nothing but trusting in God to function in their Sabbath. Any Christian who will rest in the word of God need not to pray much, He will grant their desires. This is the reason you see manifestations in the life of some Christians, they don’t pray or do much yet they get results because their confidence is much more in Jesus; they rest and cast their confidence on Jesus – 1st Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

When you trust in the Lord and you are at rest, good things begin to happen to you. What makes things to happen to the contrary in our lives is because we are worried and full of anxiety and not trusting in the Lord but trusting in ourselves. Hebrews 4:1 says, “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” Your faith is made known when you are at rest. Before God could bring out Eve from Adam, Adam had to be at rest. Before He could bring the Church out from Jesus, there had to be rest. When you have rest, your desires will burst forth in Jesus name. If you will rest in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding and in all your ways you acknowledge Him, then He will grant the desires of your heart. Any patient that needs surgery who refuses to be sedated may have it difficult for the surgery to be successful. God wants to work a work in you but you must go to rest and let God take care of the rest because He is able

Hebrews 4:9-11 says, “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” If you are not resting, you are in unbelief, if you are full of anxiety, you are in unbelief; because He that believeth does not make haste – Isaiah 28:16. Because you are not in your Sabbath (i.e. at rest) you have to be told by Jesus Christ to have faith in God; but those who are in their Sabbath are not given such instructions to have faith in God. God moves in His sovereignty because they are already at rest. Look at the book of John 5:1 the bible says, “After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the Sabbath.” Jesus came in and healed the man, He never asked for faith because the man was at rest. Matthew 12:9-13 the bible says, “And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.”

The challenge we have in life is in our struggles because we have learnt that we need to help God, so that God can get things done in our lives. That is a lie of Satan. Uzzah tried to help God full of anxiety and worry in 2nd Samuel 6, He tried to help God stabilize the ark of the covenant with hands which led to his demise. Luke 18:7, “And he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Where men stopped that is where God begins from. The strength of God is made perfect in your weakness. When you submit then He begins to work. Let go of the anxiety and worries; go to rest and let God take care of the rest.

God bless you, see you next month.
