THE HEALING HEALTH OF CHRIST

     The Bible made us understand that God has a healing health or salvation that brings healing, in the book of Psalm 67:1-2, “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.” The word 'saving' in the scripture also means healing. If God says that His healing health should be known to all nations, it means that there are other conventional ways of healing through doctors and medicine. God has a healing health that can make us strong when we are weak, that can give our bones marrow, and make us full of vitality when sickness comes. He calls it a healing or saving health in other words it is the salvation that brings healing to us, not just Christians but to everyone who cares to know and believe.

     One of the things He wants us to take as responsibility is that this healing health is His desire and wish to be made known to all nations. This means that not all nations know about this healing health of Christ. We’ve often seen people cry because they’ve been diagnosed with diseases that the doctor says there is no cure; and as far as they are concerned when the doctor says there is no cure, it is all over because their hope is hinged on what the doctors and science says. But the Apostle Paul said in the book of 1st Corinthians 15:19, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” If it is in the hands of the doctors, nurses and science that we have hope for our health then we are of all men miserable and it means that salvation has not been procured by Christ for us; because the salvation that is limited to a certain degree is not salvation. Jesus has procured eternal salvation for us that can give us solution to every situation; and one of the things that it can do is to give us healing.

     Psalm 103:1-3 says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.” Which means it is God's will for humanity to be healed. The Bible told us that Abraham had a situation where the promises of God made was not fulfilled but he had become a hundred years old and his wife Sarah was ninety years old. There was no hope for them to give birth to the promised child anymore because their bodies were weak according to medical science and nothing could be done about it. But Abraham got himself hope from the word of God (Romans 4:18) and He held on to it until the manifestation showed up. The Bible says, if we are children of Abraham we should follow after the faith of Abraham, which mean we have been called to follow after the faith pattern of Abraham. It means that when there is no hope medically or naturally for any situation that confronts you, what you should do is to get yourself some hope by using the healing health of Christ because if everything else fails the salvation producing power of Christ Jesus will never fail.

     God’s intention is for His saving health to be made known to all nations; that there is a solution to their problems. This means that for the world to know about this saving health we must tell them about it. Romans 10:13-14, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” The nations of the world will never hear that there is a solution until somebody tells them about it. We have been called to make it known to the people of the world; you cannot preach it unless you believe it and have experienced the healing health of God; then you have the confidence to preach it to others that indeed the healing health of God works.

How Does It Work?

     We must realize that Jesus has been given to us according to Romans 8:32 and He is our saving health unto all the nations. In the book of Isaiah 53:4-5 the bible says, “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” This is where the healing health was given to us when Jesus Christ paid the price and took upon Himself our sicknesses. It would be a huge injustice for any Christian to pass through sickness and disease without resisting it when Jesus already suffered for us and paid the price for our healing. We must learn to take advantage of this grace of God and not frustrate it because Jesus already paid the full price for our sickness and diseases and all that we have to do is to rise up by acting in faith.

      Isaiah 55:1-3 says, “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” The healing health comes by hearing, hear and your soul shall be healed. Why must we hear first before we are healed? Because faith comes by hearing. Luke 5:15 says, “But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.” Jesus will first of all preach the gospel before he starts healing people, so that by hearing faith comes and through their faith they can receive whatsoever they desire. This is how to operate the healing and the saving health of God in our body. You must hear to be healed. When you have heard, then you must believe and act on it, this is what brings the healing. You must act in faith.

How to Receive This Health

     We know that Jesus Christ is the living word sent by God unto us for our healing and deliverance from sickness and diseases. God sent His living word unto us and that living word became the written word that became the spoken word. Whosoever believes in the written word which has the same power as the living word (i.e. Jesus Christ) that person will be healed.

Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” The word of God is our medicine, it is our healing health. Just like the regular medicine is taken based on prescription by the doctor. The Lord is telling us in the above scripture how the word works and how we can take it to be effective in our lives. 1) Attend to God’s Word (Proverbs 4:20): To attend to God’s word means to put the word of God first. Whatever happens to you the first thing you should ask yourself is what does the word of God say concerning this situation. 2) Incline Your Ears to My sayings. 3) Let them not depart from your eyes: If the word of God departs from your heart, fear comes in. You must see yourself healed even though you are sick, you must see yourself full of vitality. Whatever you u see is the way you will turn out, "as a man thinketh in his heart so he is," - (Proverbs 23:7). If you cannot change how you see yourself, the miracles can never happen. Whatever the situation is, hear and meditate the word to the extent that you start seeing yourself healed. 4) Keep them in the midst of your heart. Jesus said, "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." - (Matthew 12:34). If the word is in your heart, your mouth will speak it forth. Speak God's word of healing over your body and command the sickness to go in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
