THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY

Hello beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As usual I will like to share God’s word with you in this month of September on “THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY.” 

There are two ways a man can prosper; you can prosper the godly way or the ungodly way; Sorrow always accompany the ungodly way of prosperity. The Bible says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth not sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22. The Bible also told us about good success in the book of Joshua 1:8, which means that there is good success and there is bad success. I will dwell on the good or godly aspect of prosperity. How can I succeed as a believer? Is it God’s will for me to succeed or prosper? The answer is yes. You will succeed if you go beyond just knowing it but believing and acting upon it. You must make up your mind to ensure that you focus on the word of God and get the result that you ought to get. 

Are we not all Christians? Why is it working for some believers and it is not working for others? Is God partial? God is not partial; it is the extent to which you know and believe that works for you. Many people have houses but not everyone have running water in their house because they don’t have the capacity to dig to get water. Many Christians are too reluctant to dig, they don’t have what it takes to get there but yet there is water in their compounds for the Bible says, “…out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”- John 7:38. For those who have dug deep to succeed, you see people go to them to borrow from them. The same ability and capacity that man or woman have, you have it too. You have the same God, the same Holy Ghost and the same Jesus Christ. Then why isn’t yours working for you? Because you refused to do what he/she did to succeed. He has paid the price, he has taken advantage of the grace of God, the Bible says that we should not frustrate the grace of God in our lives (Galatians 2:21); He has refused to frustrate the grace of God in his life. He is manifesting the grace of God and the result is evident. 

We succeed by determination in the word of God; so many Christians are seeking God with part of their hearts that is why they are not getting the desired results. Many believers have made their lives a dual life, the life they live in church and the life they live outside the church that is why they are not getting results. You have one life and that is the life of God in you. Stop living a dual life; the kingdom life is the life you are supposed to live in and outside the church. Take the life that you live in church out of the church as your real life, let the kingdom life affect all that you do outside the church in your business, in your family, in your words and actions. That is why many are compromising to succeed today; they are living a double life; anytime you compromise to succeed you are saying that God does not have the ability to make you the success that He says you are. How glorious it would be if you succeed the kingdom way, then you would have the confidence and ability to say I made it the kingdom way; then others through your testimony will believe also. The kingdom principles only work if you work it. 

One of the principles of kingdom prosperity is to think about blessing others before yourself; Romans 5:1-4 says, “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” You have to stop living a life that pleases only you; many are not blessed because they are always thinking only about themselves. Think about the success of others before yourself because in the success of others is where your success comes. Nobody eats or buys what he sells by himself, whatever you are trading on; you are doing it for others. Anything you do for success comes as a result of your heart for others and how to meet their needs. Anytime you are thinking about yourself alone you miss it but whenever you think about how to be a blessing to others you create wealth for yourself. Many Christians are so selfish; all they think about is themselves that is why they are not blessed. 

You don’t succeed and prosper by the content of your spirit alone, you succeed and prosper by the content of your mind, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”- 3rd John 1:2. If your mind is not renewed, you’ll remain poor and broke. Many are trying to succeed by the content of their spirit alone; it won’t work because it is the content of your mind that brings prosperity. Until you renew your mind with the word of God you will never prosper. The mind is created to meditate the word but many are busy meditating problems, malice, hatred, pornography etc., thereby destroying their minds. If the word is not getting to your soul, your soul is dying; “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”- Matthew 13:22. When you meditate pornography, malice, hatred you are choking the word and making it unfruitful. Give your mind only to God’s word if you want to succeed in life. 

To succeed, you need to do away with worry, the Bible says in Matthew 6:30-33 says, “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” If God takes pleasure in grasses, how much more you His children. You have to learn to trust God and have faith in Him. Let it not be in your agenda to worry about what to eat or what to put on, the grass never cares how it is going to take care of itself. If God can take care of the grass, you are worth much more than the grass. That is why the kingdom is not working for a lot of believers because the kingdom cannot work in heart and mind that is full of cares and worry. “…the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”- Matthew 13:22. You are too worried to be blessed that is why the result is not forth coming. If you keep acting like an unbeliever in thinking about what to eat, what to drink and what to wear, things will only get tougher. God is telling you today to live your life for Him and He will take care of you. Your responsibility is to seek God the way He prescribed in His word; and as you continue to do it, the things the unbelievers seek will run after you. The kingdom works by putting God first. The mind is not meant for worry, instead of worrying; why not thank the Lord for provision for tomorrow.
