STAND YOUR GROUND

Greetings beloved, I welcome you to the month of November. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This month I will be sharing with you on how to ‘STAND YOUR GROUND’. 

In the book of Zechariah 4:6 the bible says, “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zerubabel and his team of engineers where building the house of God in Jerusalem but the enemy came against them to stop the building by all means. They had to stop but they did all they could do in the flesh to continue but they couldn’t. You may be building something in your life, whatever it may be and you are not getting the results you used to get and things are no longer working the way it used to, you have tried all that you could, you have prayed and used all the knowledge of God that is in you, the Bible says “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” When you get stuck and things aren’t working and producing results like it used to, what you need to do is to switch to the spirit. Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 14:15, “I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” You have to change modalities because there is a force resisting you from getting your desired result, You may be looking at it and saying it is the period of covid-19; the spirit world does not recognize the period of covid-19. When God wants to bless somebody, it has nothing to do with seasons or economic situation, He blesses when He wants to bless. 

There is a prayer that is the prayer of the spirit, Ephesians 6:18, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” There is a prayer that is done in the spirit and there is a prayer that is done in the mind. Zerubabel was using his mind and it wasn’t producing results. When you come against a wall and things aren’t working, it is time to engage the force of the spirit. Only the violent takes it by force, all evil forces are not the same, the bible says in Matthew 16:18, “...and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The gate of hell shall not prevail against it means that the gate of hell will try to prevail against it. But the Bible says the gate of hell shall not have superior power over you but it didn’t say that they don’t have power. So, there is a power against what you are doing and making it not to come to fruition or reality. You are quoting scriptures and it is not working, it is not that the power of the Holy Ghost in the word is not powerful, it is because you are not lunching it out through the spirit. You need to change modality now, your mode of prayer needs to change. You need to engage the power of the Spirit. That is what Zerubabel was advised to do, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6). It took God to come upon Zerubabel to begin to prophesy but it doesn’t take God to come upon you to prophesy because God is already in you. All you have to do is to stir up the Spirit of God that is within you and that anointing begins to work by praying in the Holy Ghost. 

Now, Paul was put in Prison and there was no date for His release but He said in Philippians 1:19, “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” There is prayer and there is the supply of the Spirit. What is the supply of the Spirit? John 7:38-39, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” Romans 8:26 says, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Some of you have not received the Holy Ghost and some that have received cannot remember the last time they prayed in tongues. So, you don’t supply the Holy Ghost anymore, so you don’t supply the water of the Spirit anymore. You need the Holy Ghost to bring out these things in manifestation, if you resist the devil by yourself with your mind alone without getting into the realm of the spirit, the devil will resist you for a long time. You’ve got to resist the devil in the spirit and pray in the Holy Ghost to resist that onslaught of the devil that is trying to stand against you 

James 5:16 says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” There is hot prayer and cold prayer; the prayer from your head is cold while the prayer from your spirit is hot. It is not God who isn't giving you what you have asked for, it is the devil that is resisting you. There is a particular temperature that melts gold, a different temperature melts silver and there are varying temperatures that melts different kinds of metals. So it is in the spirit, there is a particular temperature that can drive out some demons until you get there they won’t leave. There is a particular spiritual temperature that can drive out some situations that confronts your life, until it gets to that temperature it won’t leave. You need to set the fire burning, resist the devil and stand your ground and keep pushing it until the walls collapses and if you don’t have the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues, you can’t do it. 

Matthew 7:7-8 says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Jesus said for everyone who asks receives; but how come so many have asked and are yet to receive, they have knocked and it did not open, they seek and did not find? 1st John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” The truth is that we received but it did not manifest. God gave it to us, we did not process it into physical blessing. Anything you asked of God, He gives you immediately; it is your responsibility to process it into physical blessing, He gives every answers to our prayers spiritually (Ephesians 1:3). It is in the process of changing the spiritual blessing into physical blessing that is where we encounter the devil and its opposition and that is where many of us give up because it did not happen at the time we expected it to happen. But if you stand your ground using the word of God the devil will eventually flee. Hebrews 10:36-39, “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” You have to wait and hold your ground and contend with the forces of darkness stopping your answers. If you don’t give up God will come through; stand your ground, keep pushing; resist the devil and he will flee.
