THE YEAR OF (JUBILEE) FAVOUR

Hello dearly beloved, Welcome to 2021 Our Year of (Jubilee) Favour. May all that the Lord has in store for you be made manifest in your life through out this year in Jesus name.

The book of Isaiah 61:1-3 says, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” This scripture is in fulfillment of the Messiah that will come, His name is Jesus Christ. It is in fulfillment of Yahweh, the God in the flesh that will come and deliver Israel (i.e. spiritual Israel and the world at large). It was not a coincidence that the book of Isaiah was delivered unto Jesus in Luke 4:16-21, He had to reveal to the people who He His, “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” Jesus didn’t make mention of the day of Vengeance in Isaiah 61:2, because the time of the year of vengeance of the Lord has not come. Jesus came to give unto us the acceptable year of the Lord; to loose those that are held captive. The first coming of Christ is mercy which had to do with the blessing of God upon your life; the second coming of Jesus is judgment which is the day of vengeance of the Lord, that day has not yet come. Jesus is the Messiah, He is here and we are already delivered. He has done all that He was sent to do. Now is our moment of deliverance from every captivity of hell.

In Luke 4:19 He said, “To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” What is the acceptable year of the Lord? Luke 4:19 (NIV) says, “To Proclaim the year of the Lord’s Favour.” The acceptable year of the Lord is the year of Favour of the Lord. Jesus came to tell us that the year of the Lord’s favour has come. Before Jesus came, it was the period of vengeance but when He came, He brought grace; grace has to go with mercy. Which means that Jesus brought grace and mercy. It is no longer the year of vengeance for you but now is the acceptable year of the Lord which is the year of the Lord’s favour for you. God is no longer going to exercise vengeance upon you, instead of vengeance, it is mercy and favour. The book of Leviticus 25:1-22 paints us a picture of what it means to be in the acceptable year of the Lord which is the year of God’s favour. In the old testament under the law, you are allowed to work in your field for six years and in the seventh year is the sabbath, you don’t work; you eat the food that you have gathered. This process goes on for another seven times which makes a total of forty-nine years and in the eleventh month of the forty-ninth year, the trumpet is blown and you proclaim the year of Jubilee which is the fiftieth year. This fiftieth year is a year of enjoyment and no work is done. It is a year of rest. The Bible made us to understand in Leviticus 25:20-22 that should you be in doubt or afraid of what to eat in thet year of jubilee (the year of God’s favour), “And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase: Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years. And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.” In one year the Lord will give unto you blessings that will last for three years, why? It is the year of the Lord’s favour. The Lord is telling us that in the fiftieth year, blow the trumpet, proclaim liberty. It is the year of freedom from bondage. If you are in bondage or slavery to Satan in anyway, this is your year of jubilee and liberty. It is time to be free from that lack, from that poverty, from that sickness. Jesus Christ is our jubilee, that is what He came to proclaim unto us that jubilee has come. Jubilee is not fifty years, jubilee is Christ and His name is Jesus.

Jesus came to proclaim unto us that He is the jubilee, therefore if you are bound with sickness or lack, the year of jubilee has come. If you are a slave to anything whether alcohol, sex whatever it is, this is the year of your proclamation of liberty. You must shake yourself and get rid of anything that holds you bound. This is what scriptures what talking about in the book of 2nd Corinthians 6:2, “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” The day of salvation is the day of Jubilee. This moment, this hour, this year is our year of Jubilee, it is called the year of God’s favour. Nothing has the right to bound you anymore, if God has promised it, it must come to pass in the name of Jesus. You can be delivered from anything that holds you bound now, if you believe that your Jubilee (Jesus) has come. Psalm 102:13, “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” For every Christian who believes, this your moment of celebration and liberty. Looking at 2nd Corinthians 6:2 in the NIV he says, “For he says, In the time of my favour I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation.” Your sins are not held against you anymore, this is your moment of Jubilee, it is your moment of rest if only you believe and do as God says.

Isaiah 49:8-10, “Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.” This what Jesus came to proclaim. That it is the time of liberty, it is the moment of setting you free from every thing that ones limited you. This is a time for answered prayers, it is a covenant that He will answer you. It is your time of Jubilee, enjoy your time of God’s favour. But there is something you must do, jubilee does not just happen, something has to be done. Isaiah 52:1-3 says, “Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.” He said awake and put on your garment of praise and thanksgiving. This is the time to believe that the Lord has done, it is the time to dance and celebrate. Shake yourself from every limitation in your life. May the Lord bless you

Happy New year and see you next month
