KEEP THE SWITCH OF FAITH ON part two

Continue from last edition...

There are times you don’t do much in the kingdom and you begin to experience or receive miracles. That is God working in your life, that is not your faith yet. That is God doing special miracles by the gift of the Holy Ghost, that is God having mercy upon you. But if you sit down and think that will continue, you are deceiving yourself. That era will cease “After these things were ended..” Acts 19:21. You have to open a new chapter, and that chapter is the era where you have to make things consistently happen in your life. That era is the era of faith.

This is where people fail, they think that the miracles will continue. God started it and He will end it because that is not His mode of operation. His mode of operation is faith. Jesus Christ used the gift of the Spirit and healed one out of the multitude, what about the others? They must believe and receive by their faith. In 2nd Kings 4:1-6, the Bibles tells us about a certain woman whose sons where about to be taken away from her by her creditors and she went on to report to the Prophet. And the Bible says thus, “Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.” Who stopped the miracle? The woman and her son made it stop. So many of us have made the miracles to cease in our lives. When God begins to do the miraculous in our lives even when we don’t merit it, what you do in return is to turn around in faith and keep the switch of faith on so that it can continue. If you don’t keep the switch of faith on, it will stop because you didn’t kick-start it , God did and He will end it. You have to ensure that you continue to pour.

How do I keep the switch of faith on and make things happen in my life? The first thing you ought to know is that the kingdom is in you. Now you release that kingdom to affect your domain. The way people stop their miracle is that they release vipers, by speaking words that are not in accordance with sound scriptures, they put a break on God and the miracle ceases. When you stop functioning in obedience to God, giving to Him, worshiping Him, paying your tithe and getting excited for kingdom activities, the miracles ceases. You switch off the switch of faith. Matthew 12:34-35, “O, generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” The moment you begin to say and believe something that contradicts the word of God, the miracle stops but if you continue to speak and believe the word, the miracle continues in your life. Once you begin to negotiate the word of God in you, your foundation of faith is already shaken, then your faith to believe to stand strong on the word of God is eroded. This is the fault that comes into your faith, then Matthew 21:21-22 will be contradicted and you cannot stand and believe anymore. Why? Because you have become a man of two minds, full of doubt. Once you become a man of two minds, you are defeated already, it can’t work anymore because you are a doubter – James 1:6. The Bible says in Matthew 13:25, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” What tares did the enemy sow? He sowed tares of unbelief and doubt, so that you may cease in your obedience unto God and when you do, you put a halt to that miracle. Jesus said in Matthew 21:21, “... Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not.” You want a miracle? You have to consistently do what you are doing and never doubt. The faith that God honours is the faith that refuses to doubt. In Matthew 21:22 the Bible says, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” You’ve got to believe and keep practising it; inspite of the contradicting circumstances the devil brings, don’t stop believing. Jesus will never fail, He is faithful.

The book of James 1:6 says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” Don’t waver, continue in the things you are doing for God. Don’t ever let the devil negotiate what you are doing for God. Keep the switch of faith on and be a man or a woman of faith.

God bless you. See you next month.
