REIGNING IN LIFE part one

Hello dearly beloved, I welcome you to the Month of November. May the peace of God continue to rule and reign in your heart and mind in Jesus name. The Bible says in the book of Ephesians 2:1-3 thus, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” You must come to understand that anybody who isn’t born again is under the influence and control of the devil. You may not know it, you may not be aware of it but every unbeliever is controlled by the devil. Their decisions are being influenced by Satan. The Bible calls the devil the “prince of the power of the air, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience” in Ephesians 2:2. That is why you should not be surprised by what some persons do or in the manner in which they act. The reason is because, they are not the ones in charge, there is a spirit influencing them to act in that manner and that spirit is the prince of the power of the air which is the devil.

Until you are born again, you cannot be set free from the power of the devil, you cannot be delivered from the prince of the power of the air, it is impossible. He must rule and influence you because you are not born again and your mind isn’t renewed. Your mind can never be renewed until you are first born again. For any body to be set free from the oppression and the control of the devil and have his life being ruled, influenced and directed by God that person must be born again. He must have a new spirit in him called the Spirit of Christ. He must have a new heart in him called the heart of flesh. If that is not done, it is impossible for such a person to walk in the light of the gospel. How can somebody wake up in the morning and contemplates committing suicide? That is not natural, that is the influence of the prince of the power of the air, they will exert upon people and put pressure on them and paint a picture of hopelessness in their minds. Even when there is hope, you won’t see it as long as that spirit is in manifestation. Those persons who do such things are being influenced by the devil, the prince of the power of the air. It is a force that they couldn’t control.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2:4-6, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Take note of these words quickened and together. The word quickened means to be made alive. Death to God means a separation from Him, it is not when the heart stop beating; that is not death to God. When a man doesn’t have a relationship with God and the Spirit of God is not in Him, that man is dead. As far as you are cut off from God, you are not alive. You must realize that if you don’t have Christ in you, you are not alive. You that have Christ in you, life is in you. Many people including Christians still think that they are alive because they are breathing. You are alive because Christ lives in you. The moment Christ is no longer in a man, that man is dead. That is why the Bible says you that have Christ in you, you have been quickened, which means you have been made alive because of Christ in you. While Together in the above scripture means to be part of an entity, to be made one. Which means when Christ died, you died. When Christ rose from the dead, you rose and when Christ ascended up into heaven, you also ascended. If God says you are alive, you have to accept it that you are alive not because you are breathing but because Christ is in you. If you don’t believe it, accept it and act on it, you will live like the unbelievers and the prince of the power of the air will rule you too. That is why you see Christians still committing suicide because they don’t believe. They still see themselves like the unbelievers who think they are alive because they are breathing, so they die with the unbelievers. Until you believe and accept and call yourself who God calls you, it won’t work. “I am not dead, I am alive. The prince of the power of the air has no power over me because I have been quickened. I am alive.” You must speak it as God has called you.

The Bible told us in the book of Hebrews 7 that the Levites paid tithes unto Melchisedec because the Levites were in the loins of Abraham when he paid tithe. Which means because they were in the loins of Abraham, they paid tithe while Abraham was paying tithe. So, when Abraham became blessed, they became blessed because they are the fruit, they came out of the loins of Abraham. When a man is blessed, it goes to the Children, so also when a man is cursed, it goes to the children. When you are blessed, it goes to affect your generation. The reason is because the children are yet in your loins. As a result of that they are the fruit of the blessing and they must carry the blessing along with you. When Jesus Christ died, you were in His loins, He carried you with Him. So you died also, you died to the power of hell and no hell can oppress you any longer. When Christ rose from the dead, you rose with Him. You rose with a new life, you have that new life in Christ as long as you live in Him. That is how you were quickened. You are a new creation, the life of God is in you. You should reckon yourself as being alive with Christ. This is what you must hold to yourself if you want to live a triumphant and victorious life in Christ Jesus.

In verse 6 of Ephesians 2 the Bible says, “And hath raised us up together...” You are raised up together with Christ. How many people can kill a man who died before? You must come to the realization that death has no power over you anymore, when you died, you died to sin. Now that you are alive, you are alive to righteousness. Now the power of death, sickness have no power over you anymore. You are dead to the beggarly elements of this world and alive in Christ Jesus. Have you ever seen a dead man worry about sickness? You have been delivered and completely ostracized from the oppression of the devil. A dead man has been delivered from poverty, he has no worry or anxiety anymore because he is no longer alive to this world, he has been translated to another realm. The Bible says in Colossians 3:1, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” Because you are dead, you don’t seek the things of this world anymore. You seek the affairs of the life that you now have in heaven not the life that you once had on earth because you are no longer on earth. Many of us still think that we are on earth, that is why they still being oppressed by the devil and the beggarly elements of this world. If you have died and have risen with Christ, why are you caring about the things of the world? “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above...Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:1-2). Now that you have risen with Christ, seek those things that are above. When you seek those things that are above, the things that are here on the earth will follow after you.

Many people do not understand the things of the kingdom of heaven because they are too conscious of the things on earth. When you start pursuing the things of the world, they run away from you but when you start pursuing the things of God, the things of the world will run after you. You are in Christ, you are already dead, Colossians 3:3, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” You can’t die anymore. You ought to know this, you have to accept it, believe it and hold on to it strong.
