FOOD FOR TEENS: THERE IS A RIVER

Dear teens, What if I told you there is a river that contains all the solution to every challenge you will ever face in this life? Whatever you need can be found in this river. What if I also told you that this river is easily accessible to you if you’re born again? Psalm 46:4, “There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” This river will make glad all believers, only if the the water is channeled directly into your life, that is why the Bible says the it is the streams (a liquid flowing continuously in a line or course) that will make glad, not the river per se.

This river is the Holy Ghost; John 7:38-39 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given ; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” The Holy Ghost streams or flows from the Father and the Son, God does not have a beginning or an end, His essence flows from Him like a river, this river is what Jesus described above but believers didn’t have access to this river until Jesus was glorified but now we can be a channel of the flow of this river and any place this water is channeled into receives life, whether it be a dead womb or a dead finance or a dead marriage, or any dead situation, as soon as the continuous flow of this water enters into it, life is introduced and victory is accomplished.

Revelation 22:1-2, “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Child of God, do you know you have been called to be a channel of this great river? Not only for yourself but to all the nations, and the only way to plug yourself to this river and be channel of the waters of life is through PRAYERS, especially PRAYING IN THE HOLY GHOST. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” It is when we come into the throne of grace through prayers that we can plug ourselves to the rivers of living waters proceeding out of the throne of God and of the lamb. Why do you think the devil will do everything within his powers to stop you from streaming the rivers of living water into your life through prayers? Because he knows that when you do, he literally has no way of stopping you, you become too hot for him to handle, too powerful to come near. Do you know that demons are scared of some believers they are assigned to because of the powers they generate through prayers, I’m almost certain a lot of them wouldn’t want to go near some Christians, no wonder devils will cry out when Jesus entered some places because of the fullness of God He carried in Him.

Apart from the power manifested in this river, wisdom is also greatly manifested when we pray in the Holy Ghost, no wonder 1 Corinthians 2:6-7, “Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:” Mark the word mystery, we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, now look at this; 1 Corinthians 14:2 “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him ; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”

When we communicate in the spirit, the Holy Ghost gives utterances which contains the wisdom to the issues we are praying about but in language which we can’t understand with out mind, but our spirit, that’s why a lot of Christian’s struggle to hear God during prayers, because they expect God to speak through their mind but guess what, God will always speak through your innermost being which some people call your gut or you belly, it comes from deep down there, the river flows from there, because the devil does not have access to that part of you but he does have access to your mind, so next time when you pray in the spirit, don’t focus on solutions from your head but rather from within you, it is only when it comes from there that the mind can then carry it and properly interpret it with scriptures.

Just know that according to James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” You can’t get anything from God except it is in that river, so it is either you stream it into your life through prayers and continuous declaration of the Word or you live in thirst even though you have a river right in your backyard. May God help us in Jesus name.
