I'TS NOT WORTH IT : STOP RESISTING GOD IN YOUR LIFE

Dearly beloved, I welcome you all to this awesome month of June. May all that the Lord has for you this month be made manifest in your life in Jesus name, Amen. This month, I will be admonishing you on what I titled, ‘Stop resisting God in your life.’

The Bible says in the book of Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” The New International Version of the same book of Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declared the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” It is important to note by this scripture that God has great things in store for you, not just for your present but also for your future. What a wonderful Father. You facing difficult situations today can take comfort in Jeremiah 29:11 knowing that it is not a promise to immediately rescue you from hardship or suffering, but rather a promise that God has a plan for your life. and regardless of your current situation. He can work through it to prosper you and give you hope and a future. But there is something very important as a Christian you must understand that God does nothing in the life of a man outside His Word. “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Psalm 107:20. This is where Christians have problems; they want to have that which God has for them outside His word. They want to use their intellect and human ability to bring to pass that which God has for them, brothers and sisters; you will fall flat on your face. It is not possible.

God only knows His plan for your life and only Him knows how you can get there successfully. Why not follow Him instead of resisting Him. Resisting God’s word is resisting God. The Bible says in 1st Corinthians 10:1 thus, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it.” How do you think God is going to make a way of escape in the midst of the temptation? Through His Word. You cannot be going through a situation, and you want God’s intervention and you are not ready to do to do as He says regarding that situation you are going through.

Psalm 81:11-16 have this to say, “But my people would not harken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel has walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured forever. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.” You can vividly see God’s intention for His people, He wants them satisfied, He wants them well, he wants them prosperous, He wants them successful, He wants them victorious but they resist Him, they resist His Word. His Word is the way out of the predicament you are facing right now. Have you not tried all you could like the woman with the issue of blood in the book of Mark chapter five. But the Bible says not until she heard about Jesus (the Word) and acted based on what she heard she was not set free. God has strategically made His Word the solution to all of the problems of humanity. Go for His word and act on it, you will not only see the situation turn for your good but also see God’s plans made manifest in your life.

See you net month. God bless you.
