THE SPIRIT, THE GLORY part two

Hello beloved brethren I welcome you in the name of the Lord to the month of August. Have you not discovered that Jesus told his disciples in Luke 24:49 thus, “...but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Why didn’t Jesus allow them to go and preach, instead He told them to wait for the Holy Ghost? If it were possible to live a successful Christian life without the Holy Ghost, Jesus would have told them to go. The challenge many Christians are having is that they don’t have the Holy Ghost. That is why you burn a little and you go off again. Nobody is called to live a Christian life without the Holy Spirit. You can’t be a successful Christian without the Holy Ghost this is where you are having problems. You are trying to live the supernatural life carnally. The five foolish virgins where depending on their ability without the Holy Ghost. In the book of Acts 8, the Bible says, Phillip went to Samaria to preach the gospel and scripture tells us that the Apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received Christ, they sent Peter and John to them that they might receive the Holy Ghost, Acts 8:14-15 says, “Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost.” The moment you give your heart to Christ, the next person you need in your life is the Holy Spirit. If not you discover that you keep struggling and struggling. The Holy Ghost makes Christianity sweet. Without the Holy Ghost you will not see the supernatural happen in your life the way it ought to. John 16:7 says, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” The Holy Ghost is the one that gives you the ability to do what naturally you can’t do, “For I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”- Philippians 4:13. Once the Holy Spirit is in you the supernatural ability begins to work in you. The Holy Ghost is what makes a difference in your life.

There are many Christians that are troubled. They are full of anxiety and worries because they don’t have God in them. Psalms 46:1-4 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” The fact that you are a Christian, doesn’t mean things will be okay. It is your connection with the oil (the Holy Ghost) that will determine whether your life will be okay or not. The Holy Ghost is what makes you full and comfortable. The Holy Ghost will always make you happy.

Always learn to stir up the Holy Ghost in you all the time; 2nd Timothy 1:6 says, “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” Always stir up that oil in you so that the light in you begins to burn. And you will discover that among many they will single you out. The Holy Ghost in you will change your life, He will reveal the glory in you but you have to carry Him along by stiring up the power of the Spirit that is in you consistently. You might say, I have the Holy Ghost but you don’t stir it up consistently that is why you are struggling. You wick is not touching the oil that is why you are weak. The Holy Ghost is in levels according to John 7:37-39 says, “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” Now that Jesus has been glorified, you must receive the Holy Spirit; your Christianity must be complete in Jesus name. When you stir the Holy Ghost up, His presence goes with you and things begins to work for you. Take your phone for example, no matter how good it is, you must charge it to use it. You have to leave it there at the place of charging for a while, then you can use it. But guess what? It will run down again and you have to go back and charge it again. That is how you are. The reason you are not happy is because you are not full of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18-21 says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” When you are full of the Holy Spirit you don’t struggle, you just know what to do and how to do it. Learn to always stir up the gift of the Holy Spirit that is in you consistently.

God bless you. See you next month.
