THE MINISTRY OF ANGELS (part one)

Hello beloved saints, I welcome you once again to the month of November. May God’s glory be revealed in your life in Jesus name. I will be sharing with you on what I titled “The Ministry of Angels.”

When you go through the book of Acts you will discover the ministry of angels was so prominent, it was not a strange occurrence to the Apostles; it was part of the Christianity that they practiced in the book of Acts. So why does it seem like we are not having that ministry in operation in this dispensation or in this time. The reason is because we don’t talk about it enough. We don’t preach about it. What you don’t preach about the people will not know, and what they don’t know about they cannot have faith to receive it and make it work for them. If you want something to start working; you preach on it over and over again until the faith of the people is directed towards it. And when the faith of the people is directed towards it, they start having it happen in their lives. The reason we don’t see the ministry of angels in our lives these days is because we think it is strange; and that what we saw in the book of Acts may not be true. That is the reason many Christians don’t talk about it; we think it is just too foreign. So, because we don’t expect it to happen to us, it will never happen. Scriptures tells us in the book of Proverbs 23:18 thus, “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” It is what you expect that you will see. It is what you desire and see that will happen to you. When you start expecting the ministry of angels in your life it will start happening. But when you don’t expect it, it will take only God’s intervention to make them happen. Why? Because you are not prepared to make them happen in your life.

Jesus is our role model and one of the things He expected to happen in His life and ministry is the ministry of angels. Look at the book of Matthew 26:53, “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” Jesus knew that when He asks for angelic intervention or visitation, He would get it. What about you? Do you know that you have the same privilege like Jesus to ask for angelic help and you will get it? If you desire and expect it to happen in your life, you will get it just like Jesus would. All the privileges given to Jesus while He was on earth, you have them all. And it can work in your life if you believe them too. They are what Jesus died to give to us and we must not let them slip by but we must make use of them including angelic visitations.

One day I was sleeping and my wife was asleep in the porch area of our apartment. While I was sleeping, her singing woke me up. She was singing so loudly. I beckoned on her to keep it down several times but she didn’t hear me, so I got up to talk to her. When I got there, she was sleeping so soundly, I woke her up and told her that she was singing so loudly. She was surprised and said she has been sound asleep. Then I understood it was her angel singing and worshipping God. Do you know you have an angel? In the book of Matthew 18:10 the Bible says “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven THEIR ANGELS do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.” A minister of God shared his experience when he had a visitation from Jesus, and while Jesus was talking to Him, he saw a very huge man behind Jesus on the right side. When Jesus was done talking to him, he asked Jesus who the huge man behind Him was and Jesus replied and said ‘that is your angel.’ He was surprised and Jesus said to him, ‘have you not read in the Bible in Matthew 18:10 that the “angels of the children behold the face of the LORD?” He said yes. And Jesus asked Him again, “Is there anywhere you’ve read in the Bible that God takes away the angels when they grow up? And the minister of God replied ‘No.’ “He said your angel has been with you from when you were given birth to and throughout life He is always there.’

Hebrews 1:13-14 says, “But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Your angels are always with you. You must come to the realization that you are not alone. Your angels are always with you but if you don’t expect them to work for you, they will never work for you. The fact that you have an angel does not mean that they will work for you. If your angels will work for you, it is not by themselves; you have to make them work else they won’t work for you even though they are there. The ministry of angels will not happen in your life because you have an angel, they only happen because you put them to work. The Bibles says, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them...” He didn’t say ministering spirits sent forth to minister to them. The word ‘minister for you’ means that they are sent to help you, to deliver you, to set you free from trials and troubles. If you don’t do what needs to be done they can’t help you. What will make your angels work for you?
God bless you
