FOOD FOR TEEN :THE HOPE IN FAITH

Image
Dear teens, Let’s take a look at hope, I believe the topic of hope is not being addressed enough in the body of Christ today and as a result we are missing out on a lot because of this. According to Hebrew 11:1 the Bible says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” From this scripture, it is obvious to see that without hope there is no faith. Faith was defined twice and in both definitions, there was hope, in the second definition, it says the “evidence of things not seen” things not seen there was referring to hope, because Romans 8:24 tells us that “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?”  So you can agree with me that an integral part of faith is hope. No wonder that same Romans 8:24a tells us that we are saved by hope.  What then is hope? A lot of us think that hope is our desire, no. Hope is more than that, hope is God’s promise in His Word as a direct answ...

A PIECE OF ADVICE (part 1)

Image
Hello Beloved, I welcome you to this wonderful month of June. I know you are increasing in the knowledge of God and our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I will like to reflect on the incident of one of our sisters, one of the gospel music icon that died allegedly as a result of domestic abuse. There were several persons who came out to criticize their pastor, asking what he did about it; that the pastor having known such a thing was suppose to do something about the marriage. I want to reflect on it, so that those that are married will be wise. The minister of God who happens to be their pastor, came out on air and made know the extent to which he knew about the issue and how he wasn’t aware of the domestic abuse going on between the man and the wife. That not withstanding, even though the pastor is aware, he certainly will not be able to do anything about it, other than to try to make things work between them, not to separate them. As ministers of God, we stand for peace and unity in...

THE LORDS NEEDS YOU (part two)

Image
One day Jesus went to the sea side and He saw certain fishermen, men that were not qualified, common men trying to look for a means of sustenance but He said unto them in the book of Matthew 4:19 thus, “... Follow me, and I wll make you fishers of men. ” There may be things that you are involved in but when you become a repairer of the bridge and start repairing the lives of people, your life becomes mighty and great because Jesus has come into your life. One of such men is Peter, he was uneducated. A man of anger who can’t keep his mouth shut but when Jesus Christ got a hold of him, his life changed. He preached the gospel and in one day three thousand people received Jesus Christ. This was a man who was afraid when Jesus mounted him and he became a great man. The Bible says in the book of Acts 10:25 that Cornelius a centurion, a very high ranking man in the Roman army saw Peter; (a man who was uneducated, a man without any influence) and bowed down and worshipped him, why? Because Je...

IT'S NOT WORTH: WHICH ROAD ARE YOU? part two

Image
Dearly beloved, May this month be an all-round blessing for you in Jesus name. This month I will be sharing with you on what I titled “which road are you?” Jesus seemed always to classify people in two categories. He taught that there are two roads of life, the broad road and the narrow road. He said there are two destinies in life. He did not give a third alternative. He did not give ant middle road. He said it’s either one or the other. He said in Matthew 7:13-14; “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” You cannot be neutral about eternal life, but a lot of people try to be. They try to ride the middle road but there is no middle road. Jesus said it’s one or the other. He said if you’re not on the narrow road that leads to eternal life, then you must be on the broad road t...

FOOD FOR TEENS: VALUE SYSTEMS

Image
Dear Teens, I would like to show you something you may have never really taken time to observe, yet it's the bedrock of prosperity. In the olden days, before the era of money, a person would go to his farm to harvest their produce then use it as a means of exchange for other food or services, which is usually referred to as the barter system. What they were doing in essence, was exchange of value, in exchange for the value of two tubers of yam, you might receive a bunch of plantain or cassava as the case maybe. The values of these produce were determined by the individuals involved. Whatsoever you exchange a product or service with became the value of that thing.  So, a carpenter could agree to receive a bag of rice in exchange for a furniture, it is the value he places on that furniture. When money was introduced, people began to forget that money was just the clothes value had to put on so that it could be traded globally. Money was never and would never be the main ai...

THE LORD NEEDS YOU part one

Image
Beloved, I welcome you to this wonderful month of April. May this glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ continue to shine upon you. The Bible says in the book of Luke 19:29-36 thus, “And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethaphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, that he sent two of His disciples, Saying, Go ye into the village over against you: in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, why do you loose him? Thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. And they that where sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, why loose ye the colt? And they said, The Lord hath need of him. And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.” A colt is a you...

FOOD FOR TEEN: THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH

Image
Dear teens, Have you ever wondered why "bad things" sometimes happen to good people? Why that strong brother or sister in Christ goes through some terrible situations and unbelievers or even wicked people even have it easier? First and foremost you must understand that it is the will of God that every believer must at some point face trials and tribulations, 2nd Timothy 3:12, "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. " But they are not built to destroy a Christian, they are built to strengthen us, 2 Timothy 3:11, "Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me ." When you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you must know that God IS WITH YOU, the reason why many people's heart fail them in tough times is because they think God has forsaken them (Psalm 23:4). Most time when we go through dark situation...
