WISDOM FOR LIVING

Hello beloved, welcome to the month of October. May this month be the best month yet for you as we
celebrate Nigeria's independence. I will like to share the word of God with you on what I titled, ''Wisdom for Living.''
2nd Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." Note that, all scripture is given by the inspiration of God but all scripture is not divinely inspired by God. All that are written in the Bible were written because God led the writer to do so but God did not inspire some characters in the Bible to say some of the things they said. In order words, it is not all statement in the Bible that is God's word. For example, in Job 1:21b, Job said thus, "the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken; blessed be the name of the Lord." To the human senses that statement sounds appealing but is the statement actually inspired by God? Is that statement actually God's word? For us to know God's word in the Bible, we must get acquainted with the character of God. Any words or statement in the Holy Scripture that is not consistent with God's character is not God's word.
Let's X-ray Job 1:21b and see if that statement is actually of God. Does God give and take? Will God give you a blessing with His right hand and take it with the left? Is God a good or a bad God? Job thought that God was the one that killed his children but in reality it was the devil. Does God kill? If you really wants to know who God is look at Jesus. Jesus said in John 10:30, "I and my Father are one." One of the reasons Jesus came was to reveal the character of God to us. A lot of people especially in the Old Testament had a very wrong opinion of God. They thought God was a villain who looks for people to destroy for their offenses and wrong doings. Many people live with that same idea today. A man's faith is based on his knowledge of God. Right knowledge of God leads to right faith while the wrong knowledge leads to wrong faith. Proverbs 24:5 says that, "A wise man is strong." Who is a wise man? A wise man is a man that operates with the right information. He is a man with the right knowledge. This kind of man will always grow stronger in every aspects of life.
John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Who is the thief, the devil of course. He is the one who steals, kills and destroy and not God. God is a giver and not a taker. James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." God give good things and not bad. God does not give death because there is nothing good about death. 1st Corinthians 15:25-26, "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." If death is an enemy of God why would He use it against His children and those He love? God richly gives us all things to enjoy- 1st Timothy 6:17. God will not give you something that will cause you pain. Death is a container of pain therefore God wouldn't kill you or your loved ones. Acts 10:38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him." God anointed Jesus Christ to set people free from pains and miseries. If God gives pains and miseries why would He anoint Jesus to take them away?
Friend, God is not the cause of your problems. He is not interested in your pains. He wants you happy and victorious all year long. Hebrews 4:15 says that He is touched by the feeling of your infirmities. That is to say, whenever you feel pains He feels it with you also because you are the bone of His bones and flesh of His flesh- Ephesians 5:30. Have you not read in Hebrews 13:5 that He will never leave you nor forsake you? He said, "Lo am with you always even till the end of the world. Amen. - Matthew 28:20. Every word of God is a covenant and a promise which cannot be broken. God said in Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" Every word God has spoken in His word concerning you, He is under oath and covenant to make them good- Hebrew 6:13-18. All you have to do is to believe with all your heart that He is for you and with you. "if God be for us, who can be against us?"- Romans 8:31.
Go ahead and pray the following prayer, Father, I thank you for your word; I thank you because you are for me and always with me. Therefore the hand of the devil and all His works are destroyed over me. Lord I receive your protection and all of your blessing. I see myself and family blessed, I see us prospering and succeeding. I see your hand working great miracles in my life and that of my family because you have made us victorious in all aspects of life. I declare that we are above death, sickness and all the manifestations of darkness. We live and rule and reign over the devil and all his works- in Jesus name. Amen.
Congratulations! See you next month. God bless you.
