TRUE LIVING

Hello beloved, I welcome you to the month of March. I hope you are increasing in grace of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I will like to admonish you on what I titled TRUE LIVING. 

Do you know that God cannot lie? Every word that comes out of His mouth is the truth. The scriptures made us to understand that it is the devil that is a liar (John 8:44). Anything God says is the truth, though you may not measure up to it or see it that way or even understand it because He says in Isaiah 55:8-9 that, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my thoughts than your thoughts.” Your thoughts may not be able to grasp it but what He has said is the truth and no man can change it. 

The Lord revealed to me; He said, “There are many dead people around, though they walk with their feet but they are dead. If your living is not for souls to be accrued to the kingdom then such a person is dead. If your living is not for kingdom purpose then such a person is dead. Many people live to gather wealth, to gather money, to have houses, cars and flashy things, others live for pleasure, to be entertained.” 

In the book of Genesis 2:17 the Lord said, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Adam and eve may not have died physically but they died spiritually. They were cut off from Him which gave the devil the opportunity to influence them. This is the death that is hunting the physical world even until now; this is the reason for kidnapping, arm-robbery etc. 1st Timothy 5:5, “Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.” It is not wrong to make money or build houses but if that is your reason for living then you are dead while alive. As a child of God everything that you do should be driven by the kingdom of God. If you live for any purpose apart from this, that person is already dead. Many believers have forgotten their purpose in Christ. This is the reason the Bible says in Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” So that we can consistently awaken and remind ourselves of our purpose in Christ. That is why God gave us teachers, apostles, prophets, pastors that if you keep following your eyes will be opened. 

In the book of Revelation 3:14-20 says, “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth….” To be lukewarm means not having anything important to do with the salvation of souls; such a person is not mindful of the purpose wherewith he is living. The reason you are still on the earth is to win souls, to develop them and to ensure that the image of Christ is revealed in them. That is our purpose. 

You are the ambassador that Jesus Christ has put on earth, you are His hands and you are His mouth piece, speak for Him. People are dying daily and going to hell, you’ve got to speak for Him. You’ve got to live for a purpose not for the things you can get from the Lord, it will destroy you. 1st Timothy 6:9, “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” It is not wrong to desire things but your living must be for the purpose of the kingdom. If the kingdom is the purpose wherewith you live, you will be happy everyday of your life because God will always be with you. The reason you are still living is for souls to be won to the kingdom of God.
