FOOD FOR TEENS: FOUR THINGS GOD REWARDS OPENLY

Beloved teens, do you know that the secret of Christianity are things done in the secret? God is a Spirit and everyone who must worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth. The things that mostly impart a man's lives are not the things he does outwardly but the things done inwardly. It has been said that what a man does while no one is watching is the true nature of the man. So in this article we are going to be looking at the things God expects us to secretly

1. Give: Matthew 6:2-4, “Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.” Jesus said WHEN not if, so giving is a vital aspect of our lives but God said it must be done secretly, what that means is; it must be done to please God and not man. Make it a culture to be a blessing, first to God and then to the people around you but take heed to do it to please God and not man.

Apostle Paul admonished us in 2nd Corinthians 8:7, “Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.” To increase in the Grace of giving. Once you are willing to distribute to others that the name of God may be glorified, God makes you a major channel, there are several people depending on God to bless them, few are willing to be the channel through which God bless others, when you make up your mind to be a channel of God's blessing to His work and to others, God increases the volume of resources allocated to you BUT it must be done for His glory and not yours so you must not allow yourself to be seen but Him alone glorified.

2. Pray: Matthew 6:5-6, “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are : for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Notice again Jesus using the word WHEN and not if, prayer is a MUST for every believer and should not be taken lightly, it is the lifeblood of a believer because it is the place of prayer the life of God is infused into our spirit, soul and body by the Holy Ghost.

For a phone to function it must be charged up regularly so that it's user can enjoy if, even so for us to be charged up by the power of the Holy Ghost and be usable by God. Jesus repeated again in Luke 18:1, “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” It is through prayers you dwell in the secret place of the most high, in this place God starts revealing His secrets to you because you have yielded yourself for the master's use.

3. Fast: Matthew 6:16, “Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” When you fast, you make your spirit more acceptable to the Spirit of God, so that every unbelief goes out and your confidence in God's word becomes stronger and your reward will be made manifest but always ensure to do it not to impress men but to please God.

4. Meditate: 1st Timothy 4:15, "Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” You must fellowship with the word of God, through meditation, it is major way God reveals Himself to us. 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” You want to manifest God glory? Consistently meditate and make God's word your companion, value it more than your physical food, let it have a place in you and scripture tells us that our profiting shall appear to all.

Make up your mind this year to build your life around these activities to THE GLORY OF GOD and I guarantee you, He will reward you openly for all me to see. God bless you and have a wonderful month.
