It's Not Worth It: Don't Forsake The Assembly Of The Brethren

Image
Hello my beloved saints, welcome to the month of February. I know you are waxing stronger in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will like to remind you that this is our year of Unusual Glory. May the Unusual manifestation of God’s Glory be yours this wondrous month of February in the name of Jesus. . In this episode, I will like to admonish you not to forsake the assembling of the brethren. In Hebrews 10:25, the Bible says, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” The New Living translation says, “And let us not neglect our meetings together as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” The local assembly is where the gospel message is preached, it’s also where the word of God is applied to the circumstances of our lives, hence knowing that Christ return is close, the believers are to ...

Food for Teens: Three Things I Heard

Image
Hello teens, welcome to the month of February. I would like to share a personal experience with you, which would make the bases of this article and I know it will bless you also in Jesus name. Before I got married (during wedding preparations), I had this deep desire to know God’s opinion about what I was about to embark upon and also to  know His direction for my life at that point. As I sought him, I would desire to hear a word from Him concerning this new level of life I was about to enter into but nothing came. Just total blank like God didn’t have anything to say. Based on what I have heard, there was this fear about how I would be able to provide for my family after the wedding. So, I really needed God to give me a better Job or open my mind to new ideas, still nothing came. About two weeks before my wedding I was asleep and in that sleep (which was a restless sleep), someone spoke to me (I didn’t see a face). He said I just have something to tell you that you n...

Beware of False Prophets (Matthew 7:15)

Image
Hello, my dearly beloved, welcome to the month of February edition of the Divine Truth. I want to admonish you on what I titled “Beware of False Prophets" (Matthew 7:15).  One of the ways you know a false prophet is that they strengthen and direct your faith to mediums. They build your faith to depend on medium instead of Christ or His Word. They give you things like anointing oil, anointed water, pictures etc. There was no time in scriptures when Jesus gave material medium to people to solve their problems. No! Nothing of such ever happened. Some He prayed for. Others, He spoke words, even when He used medium like clay or spittle, He never formed a doctrine out of them. Whatever is used or said once in the Bible especially in the New Testament, do not form a doctrine out of them because they aren’t. Luke 6:19 said that the whole multitude sought to touch Jesus, for there went out virtue out of him, and healed them all. When the Bible says they touched Him, the truth...

IDOLATRY

Image
Happy new year to you beloved. I welcome you into our year of UNUSUAL GLORY. Our year of super natural manifestation of God’s glory. May the supernatural be a regular occurrence in your life this year in Jesus name. To walk in the unusual we have to do things unusual. We have to leave the norms and pattern we’ve been living and functioning by for this awesome glory of God this year to be revealed. Hence this exhortation. Most people today who have any concept of idolatry probably think of pagan bowing down and worshipping a strange-looking idol, a carved image or stature. That’s part of what idolatry means, but since most of us don’t do that, how do God’s command against idolatry apply to us believers now? The Apostle Paul provided us with a modern application of idolatry in the middle of a sentence in his letter to the Colossians. Colossians 3:5 says, “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and...

The Rules of Engagement

Image
Welcome to our year of uncommon glory. There are two laws that govern every life on earth, both laws do not work at the same time, one has to choose the one he or she wants to operate. Romans 8:2 tells us about these laws, “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” The two laws are: 1. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus and 2. The law of sin and death. At every point in our lives we are always walking based on one of both principles in our lives. These two laws work independently of each other and they can be used to control every aspect of life. Each of them is governed by their unique set of rules and engagement and can only work when these rules are fulfilled.  In the course of this article, I will be unveiling both laws using health aspect of life as a case study to describe how both work. 1. The law of sin and death: There are laws that govern the physical realm (earth and eve...

WHAT WE MUST DO

Image
Greetings to you my beloved saints. I wish you God’s blessings and favour in the name of Jesus Christ. May God prosper you more and more as we progress in this year of UNUSUAL GLORY. For us to enjoy the miraculous power of God in our lives, there is always something we must do. The Jailer in Acts 16:30 asked the Apostle Paul thus, “What must I do to be saved? There is always something to do to have a miracle in our lives. In Mark 10:17, the young rich man asked Jesus Christ thus, “Good master, what must I do to inherit eternal life.” Miracles don’t just happen; something must be done to make it happen. The Lord has told us by the Spirit that 2018 is our year of UNUSUAL GLORY. But this word will not come to pass except we do as he wants. To some people they say God has spoken and whatever God says must come to pass. That is the word of an ignoramus. The Word of God does not just come to pass on earth, men will either make it come to pass or not. In Psalm 119:89 scripture ...

OVERCOMING LAZINESS

Image
"Slothfulness casteth into deep sleeps and an idle soul shall suffer hunger” (Proverbs 19:15). 90% of the problems believers are facing is as a result of laziness (slothfulness). Slothfulness according to the above scripture and according to English dictionary is a state of been idle or inactive, or unwillingness to work or carry out an action As Christians, sometimes we find ourselves giving into slothfulness especially when it comes to spiritual things, you hear believers saying that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. This is absolutely true because one of the devil’s most effective tools in his fight against Christians is laziness. He even tried it against Jesus just to stop Him from fulfilling God’s purpose for man, this gave birth to that statement by Jesus “The Spirit truly is ready but the flesh is weak.” – Mark 14:38.  For us to be able to fully understand how to overcome laziness (slothfulness), let us first observe the major cause of lazin...
