THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD PART TWO

Image
Continue from December edition….   In the life of Jesus on earth, you will discover that He never called God master. He called Him (God) my Father. He understood the fatherhood of God and He is trying to teach it to us, that your God is not a God of vengeance. The Bible says in John 8:35, “And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.” If you call yourself a servant, this means you are in the kingdom for a while and very soon you will be out. But if you understand that you are a child of God, it means that the kingdom belongs to you because it is your Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. The kingdom belongs to those who are sons, not servants.    God is your Father because you are born of God, 1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” The same word that gave birth to Jesus is the same word that gave birth to you. John 16:27, “For t...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: DON'T DESPISE THE WORD OF GOD

Image
Beloved, I heartedly welcome you into the year 2019. May all that God has prepared for you this year become a reality in your life in Jesus name. As this year commences, we must bear in mind and understand the very source of our lives and living is God. And to enjoy all that God has prepared for you this year, you must be ready to follow Him as He leads and instruct you in every aspect and facet of your life. Refusal to lay down your reasoning and opinions and follow His own will, there are consequences, hence this admonition.  Many of us have put ourselves in a place of the know it all, we think we can saddle the affairs of our lives and seem not to follow the bishop of our lives for proper directions through life storm and tempest. The Bible says in 1st Corinthians 1:25, “…the foolishness of God is wiser than men.” Did you just read that? In your praised wisdom by men, it is God’s foolishness. Why not follow yourself and follow as He leads and avoid dire consequences y...

FOOD FOR TEENS:THE LIFECYCLE OF A CHRISTIAN part two

Image
Hello dearly beloved, happy New Year, I welcome you into the year 2019. I believe you are growing in the grace and wisdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We continue from last month edition…  Stage 2 :The matured or the perfect believer. (1st Corinthians 2:6-26)  From verses 6-16 of 1st Corinthians, Apostle Paul began to open our eyes to see the attributes of a matured believer is absolute dependence on the Holy Spirit for direction and wisdom to become productive. The matured Christian is more interested in breaking into the intelligence, the wisdom and the counsel of God for every situation. Romans 8:14, “For as many are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God.”  Below are some qualities of a matured believer.  1. Their ultimate goal is geared towards the kingdom. Everything a matured Christian does is not for himself/herself per se but to fulfill the will of the Father. They understand that in their everyday lives they c...

2019 THE YEAR OF THE WORD OF GOD

Image
Hello dearly beloved, welcome to 2019, the year of the Word of God.  Every December, we enter into the new year with great expectations, hope and dreams only to realize at the end of the year that most of them aren't fulfilled. We haven't sat down to ask ourselves why our dreams and desires haven't really been manifested. Yet every year we keep hoping that things will change one day which is nothing but mere illusion.  A great man once said that doing the same thing same way and expecting a different result is nothing but insanity. I have discovered that the children of the kingdom are the most susceptible to deceit because they lack knowledge and understanding of the word of God that gave birth to them in the first place. They are like the children of Israel that told Moses to go hear from the Lord and tell them because they felt it was not needful hearing God by themselves and for themselves.  So, every year God's children wait for God to do the u...

FOOD FOR TEENS: The Life cycle of a Believer Part one

Image
A believer is supposed to move from stage to stage until they get to the final stage of life where Christ wants them get to. Just like a butterfly moves from an egg to a larva and then to pupa before getting to adulthood, even so a believe ought to grow into maturity also.  When the butterfly is in the stage of the caterpillar, you could never imagine that it could turn into something so beautiful as a butterfly even so we are as believers, we start out looking everything but beautiful, we do not possess any special grace but the potential of been a butterfly still resides in us even as caterpillars.  1st Corinthians 2:1-5, “And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determine not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and preaching was not with enticing words of man’...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: Love Not The World

Image
Hello my beloved saints, I welcome you all to the glorious month of December. I know for sure that the Lord has been gracious to you. May God cause you to increase in the revelation of His word and open unto you extraordinary doors of testimonies. As we round off this awesome year and God opening us up to a much more glorious year, 2019, I will like to share with you what I titled “LOVE NOT THE WORLD.”  The apostle John wrote “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Why? For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.” (1st John 2:15-17). In the first Chapter of his letter, John tells us it is not possible to claim fellowship with God and pattern our lives after the world. He rep...

THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD part one

Image
A lot of believers have a misconception about God, a very wrong mentality about Him. Many Christians think that God is a harsh and vengeful person who does not tolerate any nonsense, a God of vengeance and judgment. We have not come to understand the Fatherhood of God Luke 11:2 says, “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, OUR FATHER…” not our master, not our ruler, not our president but OUR FATHER. Until you get to this revelation that God is your Father, your prayers will be hindered. You will not be able to get anything tangible from your prayers. One of the things you must come to understand is this, “GOD IS MY FATHER.”  Get to a point in your life where you know that your Father (God) is alive for you, living and active for you. One of the mentalities you need to have is that God is more than everybody put together.  In the life of Jesus on earth, you will discover that He never called God master. He called Him (God) my Father. He understood the fat...
