FOOD FOR TEENS: THE ARTISTRY OF A BELIEVER

Image
Hello beloved teens, I would like to take you on a journey but only on one condition, you must come with the paint and brush of your imagination. You must be ready to create pictures in your mind that you have never imagined. I know it sounds unconventional, almost unchristian-like but your ability to paint pictures with your mind through imaginations is one of the greatest tools God has given to a believer. Without it many a time believers will struggle with the reality of the word of God. 2 nd Corinthians 4:18, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: For the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal.   The above scripture tells us to “look at the things which are not seen.” How does one look at the things which are not physical? The eyes of your mind, your ability to paint a picture of the things that are not seen is the key to aligning your words with your belief (heart). ...

THE MIDAS TOUCH part one

Image
The Midas touch is about a myth of a king who was given a supernatural power that everything he touches turns to gold. Do you know that, that is your life that everything you touch is supposed to prosper? That everything you do is supposed to succeed? A Christian is not supposed to struggle, the earlier you know this the better, let’s quit the mindset of the world.  There are two kinds of people on earth, the one who God has blessed, whom the blessing of Abraham rests upon and the one who doesn’t carry the favour of God, the ones who are meant to struggle. When you look at the Bible from the book of Genesis, it’s all about two persons; one that God is with and the other that God is not with. It’s all about two Adams, the first Adam that was defeated and the second and last Adam Jesus Christ that triumphed. It is all about two people, Isaac that was blessed who was the child of the promise whom the blessing of Abraham rested upon and Ishmael who was born by flesh whom the...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: ENVY

Image
Greetings beloved, I welcome you to the month of October. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This month I will be sharing with you on what I titled ‘ENVY’.  Galatians 1:21 classified envy as one of the works of the flesh and as a result it hinders your spiritual progress or growth. As it is written in Galatians 1:17, “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh and these are contrary one to the other: So that you cannot do the things that you would.” Envy is an hindrance in the life of a believer and has the ability to pose huge damage.  When envy springs up and is allowed to live and grow in a person’s heart, it has horrible consequences. We can see many accounts of that in the Bible. When Abel’s sacrifice was respected by God and Cain’s wasn’t, Cain killed his brother out of envy (Gen 4:3-8). When Korah was envious of Moses, he was swallowed up by the earth – Numbers 16. When Saul let...

FOOD FOR TEENS: Heal The Nation

Image
Dearly beloved, I want us to look at your position in the scheme of things, the big picture of life and the role we are here to play as believers so that we can properly align ourselves to fulfil God’s purpose on the earth.  Jesus Christ said in John 12:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” This scripture describes a vivid picture, it describes the life of Jesus Christ in the flesh, it was a kind of life that had never been lived, and it is the life of God in a man. Jesus was the only begotten of the Father, and the Father needed to save the world and He needed to send His Son to save the world but we need to critically look at the process and method through which this salvation was wrought.  1. The corn of wheat (which refers to this Christ life) must fall into the ground and die, which refers to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus C...

DON'T TRUST IN MAN

Image
Psalms 60:11, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.” Psalm 108:12, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.” Any time you see a scripture or a particular statement appear twice in the Bible, know that it is a critical statement which you must pay attention to. The Bible says “in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established” – 2nd Corinthians 13:1. When scripture begins to echo a particular truth twice or more, it is because it is something that is critical for your well-being and you must look deeply into it. Many years ago, I walked with a man who kept saying that the reason he was poor and broke was because he had nobody to help him. He kept saying he had no rich father, mother, brother or uncle to help him. The Bible said in 1st Corinthians 1:27-29, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. An...

FOOD FOR TEENS:WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN PART 2

Question 4: Why/How did their sin/disobedience become our problem?   Adam and Eve were man’s first parent, they were saddled with the responsibility of choosing the type of life every man should live, they chose the lesser life of sin and death and as a result, all their descendants being that they were seeds of Adam carried in them his D.N.A which was the D.N.A of sin and death, which is why no man could and can please God in the flesh.   Question 5: How/What did Jesus do to save us from this mess that Adam got us into?   Firstly, now there was the issue of sin which would always make it impossible for man to please God because man must be judged for his wickedness and our God is a just God. So, Jesus Christ being the perfect sacrifice without spot and blemish had to give himself (shed His blood) for our sins. Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Hebrews 9:22, “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and wit...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT:HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART

Image
Greetings   beloved, I welcome you to the month of September. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? I will like to admonish you on what I titled ‘Harden Not Your Heart.' The writer of Hebrews warned, “Do not harden your heart.” (Hebrews 3:8), What are the consequences of a hard heart? The writer gave some examples in   verses 18-19; “And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” Unbelievers who fail to listen to the voice of God fail to enter God’s eternal rest. But there is also a rest right now, a place of blessing that God wants us to live in. If we continually harden our hearts against God, then we will not experience the place of rest. The Israelites were not able to enter the place of blessing because of unbelief. When you harden your heart against God so many times, there comes a point at which you are no longer able...
