Progressive Revelation

Image
Hello my beloved saints, I wish you a great and prosperous month of April. I believe the Word of God is producing fruits in you as it does in the life of all who put their focus on it. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Progressive Revelation.’  Our revelation of Jesus Christ is supposed to be progressive. When we give our hearts to Christ we know little. Like Apostle Paul said, when I was a child, I spake as a child, thought as a child and understood as a child but when I became a man, I put away childish things,” 1st Corinthians 13:11. So it is also for us, we know little when we come to Christ and the little we know we apply, and as we begin to grow in Christ, God begins to show us more things and open our eyes to see more. You will get to a point in your life that you’ll discover that the revelation you use for a particular situation seems not to be working anymore, you need a higher revelation, and you need God to teach you more. In the book of Ephesians 1:1...

FOOD FOR TEENS: SHORT AND LONG FUSE

Image
Anger on its own is not a sin, scripture tells us this in Ephesians 4:26, “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath.” It is okay to blow your fuse every once in a while but according to the scripture above; don’t leave it for too long, it becomes a sin. There are two types of anger: 1. The short fuse (Short temper) 2. The long fuse (slow to anger) Scripture describes God as slow to anger (Psalm 103:8). Before we go any further, it is very important to note that you can correct, chasten a person without getting angry, you can disagree with a person without necessarily getting angry. With that been said, let us x-ray this two types of anger and examine ourselves to see which category we fall into so that we can adjust if need be or hold on strong to that which is good. 1. The short fuse (temper): The idea behind a short fuse is the inability to withstand pressure for long. For example, let us picture a dynamite with a short threa...

THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

Image
Faith is the access into grace, without faith you can’t enter into grace. The room of grace is already prepared with all the goodies but faith is the door that gives you access into it. Until you act by faith you can’t go in. Romans 5:1-2, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand..." In the book of Galatians 3:7-9 the bible says, “Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham” Until you act the faith of Abraham, the blessing can’t come to you. Being justified by faith we are declared not guilty as though we have never sinned in our lives. 2nd Corinthians 4:13, “We having the same spirit of f...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: BE SEPARATE part two

Image
Continue from last edition... Ephesians 4:30 tells us that God saved you the day of redemption, meaning that God saved you ones and then you are saved forever, but there are some who wants this verse to excuse their sinful lifestyle. They think they go to the alter and say a little prayer, and go out and live any how they want to and still go to heaven, well folks, if that’s how you are living, then you need to come and really get saved. Paul says in Romans 6:15 that Christians are under grace and no longer under the law. So, does that give you the freedom to sin at will? Paul said God forbid. Even though Christians are no longer in condemnation, we will still answer to him for the sin we commit.  Christ our exampled lived a separated life. We claim to be Christ-like’ which is what ‘Christian’ means so we also should live a separated life. “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;” ...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: BE SEPARATE part one

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you to an awesome month of February. May you abound in the grace and wisdom of God in Jesus name. This month, I will be sharing with you on what I titled ‘ Be Separate .’ “Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” – 2nd Corinthians 6:17. Firstly, I will like to make you see that this letter was written by Paul to Christians (2nd Corinthians 1:1). Though it was addressed to the Corinthian church. Jesus, through His word is speaking to us still. If Jesus through Apostle Paul is telling the Corinthian Church to separate themselves, then He requires same from us today. The message is quite clear. It needs no translation. Frankly, this is a passage of scripture that speaks for itself. However, there are Christians who do not understand the importance of this scripture nor do they feel that this scripture needs to be taken literally or seriously for that matter. They ta...

FOOD FOR TEENS : THE TRUTH ABOUT OSAS

Image
There is a gospel making waves now in Christianity that has left a lot of people confused and wondering if the gospel is really the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and this gospel is the OSAS gospel which stands for “ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED.” Some Characteristics of the OSAS gospel includes: 1. Once a person accepts Jesus as His Lord and Saviour He/she is saved. 2. Once a person is a saved He/she can never be unsaved. That is, a person cannot lose his salvation once he/she gets it. 3. A believer can live as he wants, he’s already righteous and nothing can change it. 4. God will not judge a believer by his works but by the works of Jesus Christ which He wrought on the cross when He died on the cross. Now, we are going to take a look at these characteristics and see how true they are because it will help us understand the gospel and our role as members of the body of Christ. 1. Once a person accepts Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, He/she is ...

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL PART 2

Image
In Romans 1:17 scripture says, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” This righteousness is not talking about being free from sin, this righteousness been talked about contains every blessing of God and they are hid in the gospel. These blessings are revealed from faith to faith. By your reception of the gospel and you been born again puts you on the pedestal of success but you must move from one level of success to another as you hear and believe. It is from faith to faith, from one level of manifestation to another. So He says to us in 2nd Corinthians 3:18, ( “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” ) that It is from one realm of glory to another. You might say nothing is happening in my life; something has happened in your life in Christ, move from that level of salvation to...
