Hello, my beloved saints. I welcome you to the month of December. May the Lord who has brought you this far take you farther and cause you to see and experience His glory in this new month. I will be sharing with you on what I titled “Don’t Look Back.” There is a profound statement made by our Lord Jesus which we must take to heart because it is so important, In Luke 9:62, the bible says, “And Jesus said unto him, no man having put his hand to the plough and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” If you child of God will carefully look at the scripture, you will see and discover that putting your hand on the plough and looking back at the world doesn’t go together. But as it seems, some are that way today. Comparing their unfruitful life in the world and their present life which Christ died to give to them. There was once this great city that went on fire, the fire started small but later became so great that it was consuming the whole city and no one could stop it. Houses and lives were being consumed and no one and no house or property was spared. It became so serious that the king sent his son to that city to help diffuse the already terrible situation. When the son got to that city, he came with a unique fire extinguisher, not like anything the residents of the city had ever seen, with this highly superior fire extinguisher, he was able to teach everyone in the city how to put out the fire in their homes and made sure that this fire extinguisher was available to all who would need it. Soon after he has done this, he left the city having provided the best and only solution to the fire outbreak.  Majority of the people quickly requested for this new fire extinguisher to quench the fire and below are the different outcomes.  1. W HY THIS BLESSING MUST OPERATE IN YOUR LIFE  In Galatians 3:7-9, the Bibles says, “Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham....” Not of works but of faith; what faith? It is the faith of Christ because you don’t rely on your works but on your faith on Jesus Christ, that makes you a partaker of the blessing. “...And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.” If you are working by faith the grace of Abraham is working in your life.  In Genesis 30:25 the bible says, “And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country.   Hello beloved teens, I would like to take you on a journey but only on one condition, you must come with the paint and brush of your imagination. You must be ready to create pictures in your mind that you have never imagined. I know it sounds unconventional, almost unchristian-like but your ability to paint pictures with your mind through imaginations is one of the greatest tools God has given to a believer. Without it many a time believers will struggle with the reality of the word of God. 2 nd Corinthians 4:18, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: For the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal.   The above scripture tells us to “look at the things which are not seen.” How does one look at the things which are not physical? Greetings beloved, I welcome you to the month of October. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This month I will be sharing with you on what I titled ‘ENVY’.  Galatians 1:21 classified envy as one of the works of the flesh and as a result it hinders your spiritual progress or growth. As it is written in Galatians 1:17, “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh and these are contrary one to the other: So that you cannot do the things that you would.” Envy is an hindrance in the life of a believer and has the ability to pose huge damage.  When envy springs up and is allowed to live and grow in a person’s heart, it has horrible consequences. We can see many accounts of that in the Bible. When Abel’s sacrifice was respected by God and Cain’s wasn’t, Cain killed his brother out of envy (Gen 4:3-8). Dearly beloved, I want us to look at your position in the scheme of things, the big picture of life and the role we are here to play as believers so that we can properly align ourselves to fulfil God’s purpose on the earth.  Jesus Christ said in John 12:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” This scripture describes a vivid picture, it describes the life of Jesus Christ in the flesh, it was a kind of life that had never been lived, and it is the life of God in a man. Jesus was the only begotten of the Father, and the Father needed to save the world and He needed to send His Son to save the world but we need to critically look at the process and method through which this salvation was wrought.  1. Psalms 60:11, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.” Psalm 108:12, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.” Any time you see a scripture or a particular statement appear twice in the Bible, know that it is a critical statement which you must pay attention to. The Bible says “in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established” – 2nd Corinthians 13:1. When scripture begins to echo a particular truth twice or more, it is because it is something that is critical for your well-being and you must look deeply into it. Many years ago, I walked with a man who kept saying that the reason he was poor and broke was because he had nobody to help him. Question 4: Why/How did their sin/disobedience become our problem?   Adam and Eve were man’s first parent, they were saddled with the responsibility of choosing the type of life every man should live, they chose the lesser life of sin and death and as a result, all their descendants being that they were seeds of Adam carried in them his D.N.A which was the D.N.A of sin and death, which is why no man could and can please God in the flesh.   Question 5: How/What did Jesus do to save us from this mess that Adam got us into?   Firstly, now there was the issue of sin which would always make it impossible for man to please God because man must be judged for his wickedness and our God is a just God. Greetings   beloved, I welcome you to the month of September. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? I will like to admonish you on what I titled ‘Harden Not Your Heart.' The writer of Hebrews warned, “Do not harden your heart.” (Hebrews 3:8), What are the consequences of a hard heart? The writer gave some examples in   verses 18-19; “And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” Unbelievers who fail to listen to the voice of God fail to enter God’s eternal rest. But there is also a rest right now, a place of blessing that God wants us to live in. If we continually harden our hearts against God, then we will not experience the place of rest. WHAT JOY? There is a difference between the ordinary joy people experience and the joy that the Bible talks about. Worldly joy comes as a result of temporary circumstances, like promotion at work, new job, increase salary, the birth of a baby etc. This is the joy that comes as a result of outward circumstances, this type of joy is short lived and temporal because they are controlled or determined by the circumstances of life. But the joy the scriptures talks about is called the joy of the Lord, it is the joy that comes from your inner being as a result of your relationship with the Lord. It has nothing to do with your outer circumstances. It is a joy that is deeply rooted in your heart through the promises of God and the person of the Holy Ghost. WHAT IS THIS JOY? 1.      It is the fruit of the recreated human spirit. Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy…” Joy as one of the fruit of the spirit is birthed in your heart the very moment you receive Jesus as Lord

Here is a continuation of last month’s edition.  Romans 13:3 says, “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same.” God has set up and arranged a divine order to life. He has established positions of authority in the world to protect and guard its citizens. He used government, judicial systems and other civil authorities to bring order and keep peace; these are put in place to protect us.  As such, when we rebel against those put in place to protect us we are rebelling against God’s institution. As believers we need to understand submission to authority. To live at peace with one another and to obey those who rule over us. If we do right, we will live without fear of consequences. The world is what it is and it is in the state that it is in because of what transpired in the garden of Eden. In this edition of the food for teens, we will be answering this question by answering some other questions from the event that took place in the garden of Eden to get a proper perspective of how it affects you as a believer.  Question 1. Hello my dearly beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank God that you are living in grace and victory of our Lord. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Joy (a great virtue)’.  The power of God triumph in an atmosphere that is full of joy. The power of God is limited where there is sorrow, unhappiness and gloom. Many people do not know the role that joy plays in obtaining victory from God. Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”  The first thing that is required of us believers is to carry a joyful countenance. The devil knows that he cannot succeed in our lives when we are joyful, hence he tries to make us unhappy and sorrowful by bringing to our door steps all manner of trials and temptations. Continued from last month’s edition… 3. The Eyes of Faith : Just like the ears, the eye is an input organ through which the word of God is digested into our Spirit called meditation. Just like the ears, we also have the physical or optical eyes and the eyes of the spirit. 2nd Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight).” In this passage it talked about two types of sight, the one which is optical has no role to play in walking in faith. In fact, it is counterproductive and contrary to faith but the inner eyes which is the eyes of the spirit in one of the most powerful organs of faith in that it takes the word of God, either written or spoken and creates a mental picture of that which God already produced in the spirit; James 1:25, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” The eyes of faith are so important that scripture tells us that if w
