REST

Image
Hello beloved, you are welcome to the month of May. I thank the Lord for you; for the manifestation of His word and power in your life. May you abound more and more in His grace and revelation in the name of Jesus Have you discovered that every person Jesus healed on the Sabbath never asked for it? They came just to worship God on the Sabbath day. He never told them to have faith, He never told them to believe, He just healed them. He used His sovereign will to heal them because they were already in faith but they were not aware of it. It was the culture of Jesus to always heal anybody with an infirmity on the Sabbath day. And the Lord spoke to me, He said, ‘If I healed people who were mere servants and not children of God, how much will I heal you, save you, transform you, and provide for you when you ask me because you are my children. If I healed them when they didn’t ask for it, I will heal you too when you ask me because you have a better relationship with me than they ...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT. DON'T GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you in the name of the Lord Jesus into the first quarter of this year 2020. May the Lord keep you and guide you in all your affairs this month in the name of Jesus. This month I will be sharing with you on what I titled ‘Don’t Give Place to the Devil.’  1st Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.” To be vigilant means to be in high alert. Brethren, the reason for this is because you have and adversary who is bent on destroying you. He won’t think twice to eliminate you if he has the chance to. The Bible says in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” Hence the scripture admonishes us in Ephesians 4:27 saying, “Neither give place to the devil.” The devil has the ability to destroy only if you give him a place.  The devil has no place in your life as a believer except the one you permit him to have. I ...

Food For Teens: THE EQUATION OF FAITH

Image
According to Hebrews 11:1a, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for…” Faith is not the things hoped for but faith is the substance of things hoped for. Now, let us put this in proper perspective of how faith works. In the above scripture, there are two important variables that help us activate faith which then produces the result we desire and they are:  1. The things hoped for  2. The substance of things hoped for.  1. The things hoped for comes from us as a people with our respective desires and needs, they are the outcome we desire in every situation. Before we go any further, I would like you to know that your desires as a believer is not lust, a lot of times believers find it difficult to place their hopes and desires before God because the devil always deceives and accuses them of lust.      Lust and desires are two different things, as believers we must understand them so that we can know how to supply this very...

Progressive Revelation

Image
Hello my beloved saints, I wish you a great and prosperous month of April. I believe the Word of God is producing fruits in you as it does in the life of all who put their focus on it. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Progressive Revelation.’  Our revelation of Jesus Christ is supposed to be progressive. When we give our hearts to Christ we know little. Like Apostle Paul said, when I was a child, I spake as a child, thought as a child and understood as a child but when I became a man, I put away childish things,” 1st Corinthians 13:11. So it is also for us, we know little when we come to Christ and the little we know we apply, and as we begin to grow in Christ, God begins to show us more things and open our eyes to see more. You will get to a point in your life that you’ll discover that the revelation you use for a particular situation seems not to be working anymore, you need a higher revelation, and you need God to teach you more. In the book of Ephesians 1:1...

FOOD FOR TEENS: SHORT AND LONG FUSE

Image
Anger on its own is not a sin, scripture tells us this in Ephesians 4:26, “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath.” It is okay to blow your fuse every once in a while but according to the scripture above; don’t leave it for too long, it becomes a sin. There are two types of anger: 1. The short fuse (Short temper) 2. The long fuse (slow to anger) Scripture describes God as slow to anger (Psalm 103:8). Before we go any further, it is very important to note that you can correct, chasten a person without getting angry, you can disagree with a person without necessarily getting angry. With that been said, let us x-ray this two types of anger and examine ourselves to see which category we fall into so that we can adjust if need be or hold on strong to that which is good. 1. The short fuse (temper): The idea behind a short fuse is the inability to withstand pressure for long. For example, let us picture a dynamite with a short threa...

THE SPIRIT OF FAITH

Image
Faith is the access into grace, without faith you can’t enter into grace. The room of grace is already prepared with all the goodies but faith is the door that gives you access into it. Until you act by faith you can’t go in. Romans 5:1-2, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand..." In the book of Galatians 3:7-9 the bible says, “Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham” Until you act the faith of Abraham, the blessing can’t come to you. Being justified by faith we are declared not guilty as though we have never sinned in our lives. 2nd Corinthians 4:13, “We having the same spirit of f...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: BE SEPARATE part two

Image
Continue from last edition... Ephesians 4:30 tells us that God saved you the day of redemption, meaning that God saved you ones and then you are saved forever, but there are some who wants this verse to excuse their sinful lifestyle. They think they go to the alter and say a little prayer, and go out and live any how they want to and still go to heaven, well folks, if that’s how you are living, then you need to come and really get saved. Paul says in Romans 6:15 that Christians are under grace and no longer under the law. So, does that give you the freedom to sin at will? Paul said God forbid. Even though Christians are no longer in condemnation, we will still answer to him for the sin we commit.  Christ our exampled lived a separated life. We claim to be Christ-like’ which is what ‘Christian’ means so we also should live a separated life. “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;” ...
