FOOD FOR TEENS: POWER GENERATOR

Image
There's a popular saying that "A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian" this statement is not emphasized enough because therein lies the solution many seek. According to 1st Corinthians 1:24, "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." From my observations I discovered a pattern with God in Scriptures. There are two ways He manifests Himself in any situation; in power and in wisdom. That's why the above Scripture tells us that Christ is the power and wisdom of God to them who are called. For the sake of this article we will be looking at the power aspect of God's manifestation in the life of a believer. We are told explicitly in 2nd Timothy 1:7 thus, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." This power aspect of the Christian walk is so important yet so underrated in the body of Christ today. Jesus told His Apostles to...

FOOD FOR TEENS: A LOVE POEM ABOUT GOD'S WORD

Image
Hello beloved teens, I welcome you to the month of March and I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I’d like to admonish you on A LOVE POEM ABOUT GOD’S WORD. With one hundred and seventy-six (176) verses, Psalm 119 is the longest psalm as well as the longest chapter in the Bible. It is an acrostic poem. An acrostic is a poem in which the first letter of each line spells out a word, message or the alphabet; in this case each set of eight verses begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet. You could see that this poem was beautifully written and was written with a deep love and appreciation for God's word; of the one hundred and seventy-six verses only about two or three verses did not have direct reference to the word of God. In all the other verses, you will either see the word referred to as statutes, precepts, law, judgment, ways, commandments, testimonies etc, but each and every one celebrated the power and potency of God's Word as well as...

PRICELESS FAITH part one

Image
Hello dearly beloved. I welcome you to the March edition of Divine Truth. I know you have been walking in the victory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I will like to share with you some salient truths in the word of God. Everyone of us have to deal with our Goliath, they are there whether we like it or not. Many Christians are only interested in a merry Christianity (a Christianity without trials, without challenges). There is no merry Christianity any where in the world, as long as you are in this world, trials and troubles will come because the devil will come against you. As long as you are on this earth, you are going to face your Goliath. The are many people who have been defeated by the situations of life; it is not that life and the devil has the ability to defeat them, it is just that they failed the test of the lion and the bear and when Goliath came they ran. Scripture tells us about a tribe in Israel called Ephraim in Psalms 78:9, “The children of Ephraim, being armed,...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH WORLDS

Image
Hello Beloved, I welcome you into this glorious month of march in the name of the Lord. May you increase in the knowledge and wisdom of God this month in Jesus name. This month I will be admonishing you on what I titled “you can’t have both worlds.” 2nd Timothy 4:10 says, “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.” When Paul wrote a letter to Timothy his son in the faith, he reported to him on a christian called Demas saying that Demas, having loved this present world has deserted him. Today, Bible readers easily identify Demas as an apostate (a person who has renounced his faith). Take note that it is not because he deserted Paul that made him apostate, but that it is because he loved the world. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust ...

FOOD FOR TEENS: OPPRESSION

Image
Hello beloved teen. I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I will be admonishing you on what is turning into a norm in the life of so many believers 'OPPRESSION'. If I were to ask you to list 5 things you hated the most in life I know oppression would be somewhere on your list. Most people hate been oppressed and would do anything to stop it from happening to them but will it shock you if I told you most Christians are oppressed. I know you are wondering how? I will tell but before I do, let us define oppression. It is the state of being kept down by unjust use of force or authority. As believers every time we experience poverty, sickness, diseases and failure for an extended period of time and we do everything we could to change the situation and nothing seems to change and we take it like it is part of life, we are allowing ourselves to be oppressed? Jesus Christ has made us free, we need not be oppressed, He has paid the price for our redempt...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: PUT AWAY BITTERNESS

Image
Dearly beloved, I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I will be sharing with you on what I titled “PUT AWAY BITTERNESS.” Before I begin, I will like to tell you this, your life is the character of things you watch, read and listen to. Make no mistake about it; what you are today is an expression of what you put in you yesterday. Life today is therefore the result of the things you’ve been feeding your inner man. The Bible says in the book of Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even ad God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Bitterness are offshoots of unforgiveness. There are folks who say, “I will never forgive so and so for what he did to me.” Others have added a different style to it and say, “I have forgiven him for what he did to me, but I don’t think I can ever forget it.”...

UPON THIS PREMISE

Image
Hello my dearly beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank God that you are living in grace and victory of our Lord. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Upon This Premise’. The bible says in the book of John 16:7-8 thus, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” Upon these premise or foundation lies our victory in Christ Jesus. Jesus says when He comes He will (1) reprove the world of sin, (2) of righteousness and (3) of Judgment. John 16:9-11. “Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” Jesus Christ has taken care of sin and in doing so, He has brought for us the nature of God ...
