WHAT WE MUST DO

Image
Greetings to you my beloved saints. I wish you God’s blessings and favour in the name of Jesus Christ. May God prosper you more and more as we progress in this year of UNUSUAL GLORY. For us to enjoy the miraculous power of God in our lives, there is always something we must do. The Jailer in Acts 16:30 asked the Apostle Paul thus, “What must I do to be saved? There is always something to do to have a miracle in our lives. In Mark 10:17, the young rich man asked Jesus Christ thus, “Good master, what must I do to inherit eternal life.” Miracles don’t just happen; something must be done to make it happen. The Lord has told us by the Spirit that 2018 is our year of UNUSUAL GLORY. But this word will not come to pass except we do as he wants. To some people they say God has spoken and whatever God says must come to pass. That is the word of an ignoramus. The Word of God does not just come to pass on earth, men will either make it come to pass or not. In Psalm 119:89 scripture ...

OVERCOMING LAZINESS

Image
"Slothfulness casteth into deep sleeps and an idle soul shall suffer hunger” (Proverbs 19:15). 90% of the problems believers are facing is as a result of laziness (slothfulness). Slothfulness according to the above scripture and according to English dictionary is a state of been idle or inactive, or unwillingness to work or carry out an action As Christians, sometimes we find ourselves giving into slothfulness especially when it comes to spiritual things, you hear believers saying that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. This is absolutely true because one of the devil’s most effective tools in his fight against Christians is laziness. He even tried it against Jesus just to stop Him from fulfilling God’s purpose for man, this gave birth to that statement by Jesus “The Spirit truly is ready but the flesh is weak.” – Mark 14:38.  For us to be able to fully understand how to overcome laziness (slothfulness), let us first observe the major cause of lazin...

LIVING BY EVERY WORD OF GOD

Image
Hello dearly beloved. I welcome you to the December edition of Divine Truth. I know you have been walking in the victory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I will like to share with you some salient truth in the word of God. Scripture says in Mathew 4:4, “But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Jesus said that man shall live by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth. Not some words but every word. Many believers are living by some words of God instead of every word of God. The Bible has clearly revealed to us that God’s word is dividable as revealed in 2nd Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the word of truth.” It is possible for us to rightly or wrongly divide God’s word. We can either rightly separate the Word of God and be blessed or annex them together and be destroyed. God’s word must be rig...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT - THE WRONG RACE

Image
Greetings beloved, I welcome you to the month of November. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? I will like to admonish you on what I titled ‘The Wrong Race.’     Hebrews 12:1-2 says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” The race of faith we are supposed to run is a race that we run with patience, looking unto Jesus. It is a race whose focus and end is the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the Christian race. Something else that we can extract from what Paul says is that not all that call themselves Christians are running the race, otherwise why the exhortation ...

LEADERSHIP & AUTHORITY

Image
Hello Hello my beloved saints, I wish you a great and prosperous month of November. I believe the Word of God is producing fruits in you as it does in the life of all who put their focus on it. One of the things that God dislikes is insubordination. He hates rebellion to authority because it destroys the work of God and creates an open door for Satan to reveal his own vision. Insubordination creates division and a split in the body of Christ. (Good) Leadership creates followership and followership creates open door of God’s blessing upon the followers. This is made possible as revealed in Psalm 133:1-3. But God has never called or used a perfect person. Everyone God has used in history has his or her own limitations. But as followers we are not to focus or dwell on the weakness of our leaders but rather on the grace of God upon their lives. Hence, Paul said in Romans 14:4, “Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his master he standeth or fallen. Yea he shall be holden...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT- THE LOVE OF MONEY

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you to this month of October, our month of favour. May the favour of God encompass you like a shield in every aspect of your life in the name of Jesus.  I will like to share with you on what I titled, the love of money – the root of all evil. 1st Timothy 6:9-11, “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with man sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” I will like to bring to your notice that this letter by Apostle Paul was written to Timothy, his son in the faith. Automatically, he was writing to the church, to believers. If he was writing to believers then, he is still writing to us now. A lot of people have often m...

EXPECTED END

Image
Welcome to the month of October, may the grace of God continue to abound in you in Jesus name. A lot of people are of the opinion that what will be will be. A lot of people say, if God is the beginning and the end and has already seen the end from the beginning, why then do we have to even put in effort to succeed since God already knows what or how we would end. Some also go to fortune tellers to know what will happen in the future. Others even say why did God even bother to create man, when He already knew that Adam would fall and the earth will be in chaos? All these questions are answered in one popular verse of the Bible, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I have towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” In the above scripture God said, He thinks about everything and everyone that comes into this world, whether Christians or unbelievers and He said, the thoughts that He has towards everyone are thoughts of go...
