FOOD FOR TEENS: THE PARABLE OF THE SEED

Image
Matthew 13:31-32 says, “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.” Before we delve into our topic proper I would like to first and foremost establish a baseline for these parables and several other statements in the Bible so that we can get proper insight to what they truly represent.  One of the figure of speech in English Language is simile; it is the comparison between two unlike things using "like" or "as", "She was acting LIKE a pig." Based on this example it is easy to understand that she was acting in a dirty manner. So whenever you see the word "as" or "like" in a sentence it is used to compare two different things with the same core characte...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: THE LOVE OF MONEY

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you in the name of the Lord into the last quarter of this year 2020. May this last quarter be to you that which the Lord Himself has structured for you in Jesus name. This month I will be talking to you on what I titled “THE LOVE OF MONEY.”  The bible says in 1st Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” In the above scripture, Paul identifies the love of money as a factor that leads many Christians to go astray from the faith. However, the Bible did not say money is evil; rather, it is the love of it that is evil.  The Love of money is a sin just like lust and is common to all men, Christians and non-Christians alike. While lust is a strong sexual desire for the opposite sex, the love of money is sort of strong desire people have for money. Those who love money or lovers of money are those who are willing to do anyt...

THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY

Image
Hello beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As usual I will like to share God’s word with you in this month of September on “THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY.”  There are two ways a man can prosper; you can prosper the godly way or the ungodly way; Sorrow always accompany the ungodly way of prosperity. The Bible says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth not sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22. The Bible also told us about good success in the book of Joshua 1:8, which means that there is good success and there is bad success. I will dwell on the good or godly aspect of prosperity. How can I succeed as a believer? Is it God’s will for me to succeed or prosper? The answer is yes. You will succeed if you go beyond just knowing it but believing and acting upon it. You must make up your mind to ensure that you focus on the word of God and get the result that you ought to get.  Are we not all Christians?...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: SELF CONDEMNATION Part Two

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you to the month of August in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May the glory of God be revealed in you more this month. Here is a continuation of last month’s edition How do we know if our guilt is coming from godly conviction for a wrong we have done or if our guilt is produced by the devil? When the devil accuses us, repentance never satisfies. We still feel as bad as before. The devil is the thief, he wants to steal your joy, your peace and destroy that walk you have with the Father because his mission according to John 10:10, “The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” You see, if he can’t get us to sin, he will try to make us feel as though we have sinned. Not only does the devil condemn us, we can blame ourselves. Listen to Job’s words, “If I justify myself mine own mouth shall condemn me: If I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.” (Job 9:20). The devil prefers to keep our guilt clouded over so we ...

YOUR MIND IS THE BATTLEFIELD

Image
Hello my dearly beloved saints. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  The bible says in the book of 1st Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” The fight you have been called to fight in Christ Jesus is a good fight because you’ve already won. How? Because the bible says your faith is the victory that overcomes the world; you have already overcome; therefore your fight is a fight of success because Jesus already gave you the victory. Ephesians 6:12-14 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore...” Stand there...

FOOD FOR TEENS: DO THE HARD THINGS FIRST TO LIVE AN EASY LIFE LATER

Image
Hello beloved teens, I welcome you into this fruitful month of July. May you continue to increase in the grace and wisdom of God. Amen!  Someone said something that really resonated with me, he said, “Being rich is hard work, being poor is hard, chose your hard.” A lot of people want a good and easy life but they are not willing to do the hard work, which is the real reason why many have failed or better still have not succeeded as they would have loved to. Majority of people know what it takes to succeed as they would, only few people are willing to do it because of that initial ‘hardness’ that must be encountered before success. Hebrews 4:11 says, “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest.” The mindset of avoiding hardness in life must be eradicated if we want to go far. We must go through the hard to get into the easy or ‘rest.’  After careful observation from prominent men in scriptures, I discovered several hard things that they did that helped them to succeed in ...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: SELF CONDEMNATION part one

Image
Hello beloved, I welcome you into this glorious month of July in the name of the Lord. May you increase in the knowledge and wisdom of God. This month I will be admonishing you on what I titled “SELF CONDEMNATION.” “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1). Too many Christians labour under the burden of condemnation and this is one of the strategies of Satan to keep Christians in bondage. He knows that the problem of sin consciousness. But the Bible declares that there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the senses. That means it doesn’t matter whether you feel condemned, what matters is what the word of God says. The Bible says, “…Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.” You can vividly see from the scripture that condemnation brings unhappiness. It can drive a person from God. Some people have act...
