One of the devil's most effective tools against believers today is the flesh, he collaborates with the flesh.  Many a time believers find themselves falling prey to things that otherwise they wouldn't have yielded to. How does he achieve this? By gradually sucking you into a place where it begins to look desirable. Genesis 3:1a, "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." Observe how the Bible described the serpent? As more subtle; it means to be cunning and crafty, it means to make thin or fine; to make less gross or coarse. What the devil does it to blur the lines between good and evil, to make sin look less unattractive by appealing to the weakness of our flesh, he makes it seems like the pleasure of sin far outweighs the consequences of sin. You have to believe that the life of God is in you and it is at work in you; that is why a Christian that is full of faith can walk away unscathed from sickness or situations that could have killed him. Christ is his life. The Holy Ghost in you is like a generator on standby. When the public power fails, your generator kicks in. That is one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit, He is our standby. When your strength fails, the power of the Holy Ghost kicks in and begins to work if you believe. Whenever you are weak, He begins to work in you if you believe. I have discovered that a lot of us often assume that man's definition of rest is the same with God's, therefore we get confused with God's concept of Rest. According to the dictionary definition, Rest is a state of inaction. Contrary beliefs God's rest is not a state of inaction, many people believe when we get to heaven, we would live in this state of perpetual inaction for the rest of lives, just worshiping and praising God but when you understand how Gods rest, you will find that it is a place of great productivity but zero labour from you. Genesis one, God created the heavens and the earth and all that was in it, then on the seventh day He rested from His works, and if you moved to Genesis two, you will see God rolling up His sleeve and forming man from the earth but scripture already recorded that He(God) had already entered into rest, you will then understand that God's rest is of the spirit and not physical. Dearly beloved, I welcome you in the name of the Lord to this wonderful month of October. May you walk in God’s desired plan for your life this month in Jesus name. The last words of Jesus before He ascended unto heaven can be found in Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." He asked us to be witnesses of Him, and the early church ran with this mandate and they did exploits even to the ends of the earth, as few as they were, yet their message was heard all over the world, and thousands of years later even without modern technology even with serious persecution they succeeded in spreading the gospel to the four corners of the earth. Let's talk peer pressure, have you observed that at this current stage of your life, the most influential people in your life are your friends. You might not readily agree to this but when you do a deep search into your heart you will discover that this is true. As peers the main tools of influence is ridicule, they would make fun of you for not making foolish decisions with them. The problem with peer pressure at this stage of your life is that your peers are probably dumber and more ignorant than you think. They create an impression of one of deep experience and knowledge about life but as time goes on you will discover the level of their foolishness. Don't get me wrong, not all peer pressure are bad, some are actually good, pushing you to demand more of yourself than you would normally do, but the truth is, this kinds of peers are rare at this stage, there are more foolish ones. Continue from last edition... There are times you don’t do much in the kingdom and you begin to experience or receive miracles. That is God working in your life, that is not your faith yet. That is God doing special miracles by the gift of the Holy Ghost, that is God having mercy upon you. But if you sit down and think that will continue, you are deceiving yourself. Hello beloved, you are welcome to the month of September. I thank the Lord for you, for the manifestation of His word and power in your life. It is God’s utmost desire that you prosper and live in sound health, that is why He said In the book of 3rd John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” Prosperity and sound health are the two most sort after things on earth and God is saying that is His utmost wish for you above all things. Until you put it above all things, it will not happen to you. You must put it above all things, you must desire prosperity and sound health for it to happen in you life. How is this going to happen? Hello dearly beloved,  May all that the Lord have in store for you this month be made manifest in Jesus name. I am sharing with you on what I titled, “Don’t compromise your company.” The Bible says in the book of Philippians 3:1, “Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grevious, but for you it is safe.” It is of utmost importance as a believer to mind your company. They can either make you or break you, hence these words. So many Christians have turned the other way because they compromised their company. They have left the light and blindly wallowing in darkness. The Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 11:14, “And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” Know this, so many things that you think are nice and good in your own sight might not be for you but against you. Jesus Christ said in Luke 11:9, "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." James tells us in James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Jesus said again in John 16:23, "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you." Several times, we are told in Scriptures that if ask anything of the Father, it shall be given us. The question is why are Christians not taking advantage of this blank cheque? Hello my dearly beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank God that you are living in grace and victory of our Lord. I want to admonish you on what I titled ‘Hear and be healed.” I will like you to know and have this consciousness that there is nothing impossible with God. Can God do everything? The answer is yes, but He will not do everything because God will only do what you believe. God will not do everything because He works by rules and laws, He works based on your believing; which means He can only do those things which you believe. Everyone will agree with me that a gun is a more superior weapon compared to a knife, so if someone with a knife were to attack someone with a loaded gun you know how that story will end. Even so we as believers have the most superior power at work in us, which is the resurrection power which we have in Christ Jesus. Matthew 28:18 says, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” There's no other power as potent and effective in heaven and on earth as this power. This is the power we possess in Christ Jesus, using this power of God over any situation is like taking a gun to a knife fight, the enemy does not stand a chance.
