LAUGHING IN TIME OF FAMINE part one

Image
Hello beloved, you are welcome to the month of June. I thank the Lord for you. For the manifestation of His word and power in your life. May you abound more and more in His grace and revelation in the name of Jesus. Beloved, the word of God is the custodian of all wisdom, it teaches us what to do at every point in time. When you have a challenge or situation confronting you, what you do is to ask yourself a question, was there any one in the Bible with such a situation and how did he or she overcome? If there is, go to that part of the Bible, study it carefully and understand how the person was able to overcome. What was it the person did that gave the person the leverage and opportunity for success. Romans 15:4 says, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” In other words, if the person was delivered and was victorious by trusting in God, it means that you will have the same ...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: MIND YOUR TONGUE

Image
Hello beloved, I welcome you into this glorious month of May in the name of the Lord. May you increase in the knowledge and wisdom of God in Jesus name. This month I will be admonishing you on what I titled “MIND YOUR TONGUE.” The words that we speak, are they life or death? Do they give us hope or discouragement? Since we are held responsible for every word we speak. I think we had better listen carefully to what we are saying. The lives of many Christians are going in a particular direction which is unpleasant and not beneficial, yet they have refused to listen carefully to the direction in which their words go. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. So wat do we love; life or death? What are we eating, and what are we living on? Is it life or death? Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruiot of his mouth; and with increase of his life shall he be filled.” Is yo...

FOOD FOR TEENS: LIFE IS HARD BECAUSE YOU CHOOSE TO BE SOFT

Image
When two objects collide, the weaker of the two objects suffers the most damage, now picture life as an object and you are another opposing object that must collide every day. Every time you feel beaten and battered and you feel like giving up, what you are indirectly saying is that life has beaten you to submission because you're soft. For everyone who must succeed in life, there's a certain level of hardness that he or she must overcome, the hardness was not placed there to make us stumble but to build strength and hardness in us. King Saul was a man that got the throne on a platter of gold, he wasn't trained to withstand hardness, so when he was supposed to face Goliath he chickened out. David on the other hand was trained, those things that looks like strong oppositions to us are just an avenue for God to build us up. Scripture tells us in Isaiah 53:12, “Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath...

A BELIEVERS WEAPON

Image
Hello beloved, you are welcome to the month of May in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe you are increasing in the knowledge of God. I will like to share with you on what I titled “A BELIEVERS WEAPON.” 2nd Corinthians 10:3 says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”  When we say something is mighty, it means that thing is powerful. It means that it has the ability to displace and to create changes. The Bible is telling us that we have a weapon that is not physical, it is not carnal but it is mighty and dynamic. It has the ability to displace and to create changes that you want in your life or in the situation that confronts you. I want you to realize that on earth where we live, we have powers, principalities and unseen forces that militates against us; fighting against us everyday and desiring and wanting us not to be the men and wom...

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: DON'T GIVE UP

Image
Hello dearly beloved, I welcome you to the month of April in the name of the Lord Jesus. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of God? This month, I will be admonishing you in what I titled “Don’t Give Up.” Amongst the wonderful characters of God, one of them is that God never gives up. When you take a close look at the book of Luke 15, about the prodigal son and his father, you will come to see this beautiful characters of God which He wants us to imbibe. Have you come to discover that Jesus not giving up is what brought about the salvation of your soul? The bible says, “...who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Before the glory, there was the cross, the shame and the reproach but He never gave up; why should you? He was bruised and afflicted, full of pains and sorrow but never gave up because he was looking at you, the new creation. "He looked not at the things which are see...

FOOD FOR TEENS: POWER GENERATOR

Image
There's a popular saying that "A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian" this statement is not emphasized enough because therein lies the solution many seek. According to 1st Corinthians 1:24, "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." From my observations I discovered a pattern with God in Scriptures. There are two ways He manifests Himself in any situation; in power and in wisdom. That's why the above Scripture tells us that Christ is the power and wisdom of God to them who are called. For the sake of this article we will be looking at the power aspect of God's manifestation in the life of a believer. We are told explicitly in 2nd Timothy 1:7 thus, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." This power aspect of the Christian walk is so important yet so underrated in the body of Christ today. Jesus told His Apostles to...

FOOD FOR TEENS: A LOVE POEM ABOUT GOD'S WORD

Image
Hello beloved teens, I welcome you to the month of March and I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I’d like to admonish you on A LOVE POEM ABOUT GOD’S WORD. With one hundred and seventy-six (176) verses, Psalm 119 is the longest psalm as well as the longest chapter in the Bible. It is an acrostic poem. An acrostic is a poem in which the first letter of each line spells out a word, message or the alphabet; in this case each set of eight verses begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet. You could see that this poem was beautifully written and was written with a deep love and appreciation for God's word; of the one hundred and seventy-six verses only about two or three verses did not have direct reference to the word of God. In all the other verses, you will either see the word referred to as statutes, precepts, law, judgment, ways, commandments, testimonies etc, but each and every one celebrated the power and potency of God's Word as well as...
