IT'S NOT WORTH IT: DON'T BE WISE IN YOUR OWN EYES

Image
Dearly beloved of God, I welcome you to the month of December. I thank the Lord Almighty for His shield and covering over you this year. I will be admonishing you on what I titled ‘Don’t be wise in your own eyes.’  The book of Proverbs 3:5-7 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and learn not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him; and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil.” So many persons are so wise in themselves and think that they are wiser than He who created them. They get involved and joyfully practice things which the Lord has clearly instructed them not to get involved in and expect to come out shining. They decide to flaunt the instructions of God, thinking their own reasoning will do a better work. The Bible says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wis

FOOD FOR TEENS: TRUE WORSHIPPERS

Image
Hello beloved teens, I bring you greeting in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I know that you are increasing in the knowledge of God’s word. I will be admonishing you on the message I titled ‘True Worshippers.’  The bible says in the book of John 4:23, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." According to Jesus Christ the Father seeks only true worshippers to worship Him, the big question we must ask ourselves and seek to get answer to is "who are the true worshippers?"  In verse 20-22 of John 4, the woman by the well told Jesus that their fathers worshipped in mountains but Jesus spoke of a new set of believers whose service to God will move from mountains, that is from the realm of the physical to the realm of the Spirit which is the heart. When Jesus said worship God in spirit and in Truth He wasn't talking about just worshipping God

A Living Sacrifice

God is not looking for your qualification, He is looking for your willingness, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Isaiah 1:19. There has never been anyone working for God who is qualified but it is God who qualifies us just by election. The qualification is not of you but all you have to do is to be willing. Are you willing to submit to Him that He may use you. You should be excited if there is anything God has put in your hands to do because He could have chosen anybody but He chose you. Luke 5:1-4 says, “And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto S

FOOD FOR TEENS: JESUS WAS RICH

Image
"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."   2nd Corinthians 8:9 As explicit as the scripture above, a lot of believers still believe with all their heart that Jesus was poor and this is so because the devil want us to keep up this mindset so that he can keep believers poor and down, as a matter of fact this is the reason a lot of Christians are poor. How can a poor man bless you? That's why a lot of Christians don't expect much from God. These are the thoughts that play in our subconscious mind as believers that makes most believer reluctant to hold on in faith for all their needs to be supplied in Christ Jesus. Some even are of the opinion that been rich is a sin but I refer back to the above scripture, if this is true how come Jesus was rich and he gave us access to this wealth? To put this in proper perspective we have to understand what money is.  M

STAND YOUR GROUND

Image
Greetings beloved, I welcome you to the month of November. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This month I will be sharing with you on how to ‘STAND YOUR GROUND’.  In the book of Zechariah 4:6 the bible says, “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zerubabel and his team of engineers where building the house of God in Jerusalem but the enemy came against them to stop the building by all means. They had to stop but they did all they could do in the flesh to continue but they couldn’t. You may be building something in your life, whatever it may be and you are not getting the results you used to get and things are no longer working the way it used to, you have tried all that you could, you have prayed and used all the knowledge of God that is in you, the Bible says “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, s

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: EVIL ASSOCIATION

Image
Hello beloved saints, I welcome you to the month of October in the name of the Lord Jesus. I hope you are increasing in the knowledge of God? This month, I will be sharing with you on what I titled “EVIL ASSOCIATION.”  Many have argued that the company a person keeps does not necessarily have much impact on his or her character. They say many people have become great and successful inspite of their perverse lifestyle and bad behaviour. The one who molded us disagrees with this notion. He declared in His word that evil communication corrupts good manners (1st Corinthians 15:33). Irrespective of a person’s background or lifestyle, the company you keep and the kind of information you consume determines the predominant thoughts that rules your hearts, and they go a long way to establish who you are and the kind of future that awaits you.  The Bible says in Psalm 1:1-4, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, not standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in th

THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY parttwo

Image
Continue from last month’s edition....  The bible says through knowledge shall the just be delivered, which means a man can only be delivered through knowledge. In the book of Hosea 4:6 the Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee; that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” He says any Christian that rejects knowledge will be rejected also. The relationship that you have with God is ignited and put in place by the knowledge that you have of Him. If you have no knowledge you have no relationship with Him, for the bible says, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” - Amos 3:3. The place of agreement is in the place of knowledge because if you don’t know God through knowledge then you don’t have Him in you because you cannot relate. Without the knowledge of God in you, you have no understanding of Him. So many people know athle

FOOD FOR TEENS: THE PARABLE OF THE SEED

Image
Matthew 13:31-32 says, “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.” Before we delve into our topic proper I would like to first and foremost establish a baseline for these parables and several other statements in the Bible so that we can get proper insight to what they truly represent.  One of the figure of speech in English Language is simile; it is the comparison between two unlike things using "like" or "as", "She was acting LIKE a pig." Based on this example it is easy to understand that she was acting in a dirty manner. So whenever you see the word "as" or "like" in a sentence it is used to compare two different things with the same core characte

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: THE LOVE OF MONEY

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you in the name of the Lord into the last quarter of this year 2020. May this last quarter be to you that which the Lord Himself has structured for you in Jesus name. This month I will be talking to you on what I titled “THE LOVE OF MONEY.”  The bible says in 1st Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” In the above scripture, Paul identifies the love of money as a factor that leads many Christians to go astray from the faith. However, the Bible did not say money is evil; rather, it is the love of it that is evil.  The Love of money is a sin just like lust and is common to all men, Christians and non-Christians alike. While lust is a strong sexual desire for the opposite sex, the love of money is sort of strong desire people have for money. Those who love money or lovers of money are those who are willing to do anything for

THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY

Image
Hello beloved saints, I bring you greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As usual I will like to share God’s word with you in this month of September on “THE SECRET OF KINGDOM PROSPERITY.”  There are two ways a man can prosper; you can prosper the godly way or the ungodly way; Sorrow always accompany the ungodly way of prosperity. The Bible says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth not sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22. The Bible also told us about good success in the book of Joshua 1:8, which means that there is good success and there is bad success. I will dwell on the good or godly aspect of prosperity. How can I succeed as a believer? Is it God’s will for me to succeed or prosper? The answer is yes. You will succeed if you go beyond just knowing it but believing and acting upon it. You must make up your mind to ensure that you focus on the word of God and get the result that you ought to get.  Are we not all Christians? Why is i

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: SELF CONDEMNATION Part Two

Image
Dearly beloved, I welcome you to the month of August in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May the glory of God be revealed in you more this month. Here is a continuation of last month’s edition How do we know if our guilt is coming from godly conviction for a wrong we have done or if our guilt is produced by the devil? When the devil accuses us, repentance never satisfies. We still feel as bad as before. The devil is the thief, he wants to steal your joy, your peace and destroy that walk you have with the Father because his mission according to John 10:10, “The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” You see, if he can’t get us to sin, he will try to make us feel as though we have sinned. Not only does the devil condemn us, we can blame ourselves. Listen to Job’s words, “If I justify myself mine own mouth shall condemn me: If I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.” (Job 9:20). The devil prefers to keep our guilt clouded over so we

YOUR MIND IS THE BATTLEFIELD

Image
Hello my dearly beloved saints. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  The bible says in the book of 1st Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” The fight you have been called to fight in Christ Jesus is a good fight because you’ve already won. How? Because the bible says your faith is the victory that overcomes the world; you have already overcome; therefore your fight is a fight of success because Jesus already gave you the victory. Ephesians 6:12-14 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore...” Stand therefore

FOOD FOR TEENS: DO THE HARD THINGS FIRST TO LIVE AN EASY LIFE LATER

Image
Hello beloved teens, I welcome you into this fruitful month of July. May you continue to increase in the grace and wisdom of God. Amen!  Someone said something that really resonated with me, he said, “Being rich is hard work, being poor is hard, chose your hard.” A lot of people want a good and easy life but they are not willing to do the hard work, which is the real reason why many have failed or better still have not succeeded as they would have loved to. Majority of people know what it takes to succeed as they would, only few people are willing to do it because of that initial ‘hardness’ that must be encountered before success. Hebrews 4:11 says, “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest.” The mindset of avoiding hardness in life must be eradicated if we want to go far. We must go through the hard to get into the easy or ‘rest.’  After careful observation from prominent men in scriptures, I discovered several hard things that they did that helped them to succeed in their pur

IT'S NOT WORTH IT: SELF CONDEMNATION part one

Image
Hello beloved, I welcome you into this glorious month of July in the name of the Lord. May you increase in the knowledge and wisdom of God. This month I will be admonishing you on what I titled “SELF CONDEMNATION.” “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1). Too many Christians labour under the burden of condemnation and this is one of the strategies of Satan to keep Christians in bondage. He knows that the problem of sin consciousness. But the Bible declares that there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the senses. That means it doesn’t matter whether you feel condemned, what matters is what the word of God says. The Bible says, “…Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.” You can vividly see from the scripture that condemnation brings unhappiness. It can drive a person from God. Some people have act
